Men's Long Program

Yannick Ponsero

Da Vinci Code

3a, overrotations
4 fully rotated, down on landing
3lutz, fall,
he needs to calm down, he rushes the jumps, and timing for take-off is really off.
nice circular steps, he is little high on the knees today
3a, turns, 2t, not a good landing
combo spins with changes of foot
3sal, forward lean on the landing
secure 2a
2a, problem with landing again
straight line step sequence,
why rushing through the part of programs, compromising the timing of jumps.
2a, 3sal, sequence jumps
final combo spins

inconsistent performance by Ponsero.

TES - 59.74
PCS - 58.86
Total - 117.60
deduction -1
Rank - 2nd. weird. high with all thes mistakes?

Gregor Urbas
Tristan & Isolde
Dark brown with white spots on top?

3Z-3T-2T, not as easy as Schultheiss
3A, that was very "neat and clean" as Uncle Dick would say
3Z, pulled out clean landing
Flying sit spin, nice
3S, easy
2A, good again
Circular steps, lots of long edges, not that much connection to music
3A-1T, caught toepick on something but axel was marvelous
3F (I think)
Combo spin, nice one
SLSS, lots of action on one foot
3turns into 3R-2T, not that much flow but clean
Combo spin, he really likes upright positions
Close with change-foot-upright spin

He's happy. That was very good.

125.83 in free and 187.48 overall gives him 2nd. The loop may have been UR on replay.

Karel Zelenka
The Truman Show soundtrack
Neon blue shirt with silver tie and black pants, wow!

2A, think it was supposed to be 3A
3F-3T, not great landing on 3T
3Z-2T, this was good
3S-2T-2R, bit of a turnout on 2R
Flying sit spin, some cool positions
Circular steps, a ton of upper body movement
3R, light
Steps into 3Z, wild landing
Combo spin, well done
3F, nice
2A, good
Change-foot-sit, low positions
SLSS, very dramatic
Combo spin to close

Too many little glitches.

123.60 in the free, 187 something total gives him 2nd.

Here comes Jeremy!! lets hope he does great, this is a chance in a lifetime for him. Next year its gonna be more difficult for him to make it to Worlds.

Jeremy Abbott
Waltzes
Grey outfit

CRAP WHY IS MY FEED SPAZZING NOW
4T, super!
3A, fallout
Feed is back for circular steps, very musical
Combo spin out of nowhere, superb positions
This is a marvelous program
3A, fall *sigh*
Change-foot-sit, not as fast as before
3Z-3T-2T, nice!
Combo spin, again great positions and good speed
Music segues into Khachaturian
3R out of really difficult entrance
3S, fallout *sigh*
Flying sit spin, very nice
SLSS, probably one of the best of the evening, it lilts like a waltz

Disappointing. It's so hard to like him because he never quite hits everything, but his basic quality is so amazing.

I really enjoy Jeremy Abbott's skating, and Kurt Browning's choreography suits him to a t.
It's unfortunate that he didn't have his best skate today. I hope he continues to use Kurt as a choreographer in the future though. It's a good fit. He's very musical.

The judges are taking a while...
131.65 in the free and 197.26 total gives Jeremy 1st. The basic difficulty came through, this program always seems to score well even with mistakes. Imagine how high if he went clean...

He's into first on the strength of his PCS. The quality of his program, spins and footwork saved him.

Heya,

can anyone fill me in on the starting order for the Men's LP? I can only find the last group...

ty!

Glad to see Jeremy was well rewarded in the PCS - he's beating the next best person by almost 10 marks!
