Men's Long Program

Patrick Chan
Four Seasons
Teal and black outfit, same as all season

Hoping he can replicate Nationals...
3A, great landing
3F-3T, good!
2Z out of steps, wild landing
Circular steps, just the best edge quality
Flying sit out of a huge deathdrop, nice
He's such a sensitive skater, can't believe he's only 17
3A, fall
3Z-2T-2R, nice!
3R, hard entrance
Combo spin, nice
3S-2T, good
2A, clean
SLSS, terrific stuff, flow's maintained through everything
Change-foot-sit, great speed
Final combo spin, nice

Pretty good. He looks like "Oh well, not bad I guess" afterwards.

130.74 in the free and 203.55 puts him in 3rd for now. He keeps saying "that lutz, that stupid lutz"

Sorry I took so long to answer--had my eye on my tiny TRT3 screen. It is working pretty well now, although it wasn't working before. I'm sticking with the tiny screen version, because I think it's less apt to go out on me.

Thanks! But how are you watching it on a tiny stream? Using the URL (212.175.166.3/TRT3) i've been streaming it on windows media player

On the media player, it wouldn't start before, and at times I've had the media player go black in the middle. Also, with the tiny screen, I can pull up the board and the ISU scores site while still seeing the screen.

I love Patrick Chan's classic style!

Just a quick question (becase I'm watching the live feed at the same time!) -- aren't skaters only allowed 3 combos or sequences per program? Because Patrick had 3 combos and a second 3A which I'm assuming will be a ghost sequence... so would his last 3S+2T not count?

Thanks!!

Takahiko Kozuka
Beatles
Black with sparkly vertical stripes on top

Another young skater...
3Z-1T, toe slipped out I think
3A-3T, wow, marvelous knees, very Oda-esque
3A, held onto landing
Flying sit spin, very low positions
Combo spin, good speed
3F-2T-2R, great flow
3R, his landings are superb
3S, fall, too bad
3Z, bad fall
Change-foot-sit, great low positions again
SLSS, very smooth skater if not with the maturity of Chan
2A, good
Combo spin to close

I think he'll slot behind Chan, but the teknik was a bit more difficult here I guess. Just found out that Yuka's his choreographer.

134.24 in the free and 205.15 puts him in 3rd, 2 points above Chan.

Patrick should have stuck with his 1 3A program for this year. He's been doing well with it all year and now was probably not the best place to try for 2 3A. He should have simply gone for a good clean skate his 1st year here and added content next year. Oh well! He's out of the top 10.

Yeah, that probably happened. He probably kicked into muscle memory mode because he's been doing the 3S combo all season.

Yes! Voronov gets in the top 10 and Russia will send 2 skaters next year! Im very happy for that, we will see a big battle for those 2 spots: Voronov, Griazev, Lutai, Dobrin, The Uspenskis, and now Borodulin and even Plushenko if he returns.. I cant wait.

Thanks, beep_beep :) . I had tried that earlier and the screen stayed black. It's okay, I'm happy with the tiny screen because it lets me answer here while still watching.

On another note, yes, Russia has two spots for the Men's next year now; I've been counting skaters and placements.
