Well, this time there is a "paper trail" of media publications and conspiracy theorists prompted people to conduct a mini-inverstigation to establish exactly when the events unfolded and how Misha could not have had time to recover let alone train. He can be blamed for trying to compete at all but not for competing badly by anyone with a modicum of sense.On a purely selfish level, I would just hate to watch him compete and land off the podium. If that happens, the media isn't going to care about his health problems, they are going to rip him to shreds.
The fact that he even needs to worry about securing funding for next season is the biggest joke. Infuriating if true.

There is the Russian Cup Final that should get him on the team if he wins, but even without it he should be on the reserve. It's less funding but he survived it when he had earned a lot less money than now. I don't see how they could keep him off unless out of pure spite. They did with Kovtun this season, but he did not complete a single competition in 2017-2018, earned no GP spots, stopped training and almost retired.

Clearly the only solution is for one of us to take one for the thread and marry him so he can compete for and get funding from a nation that can recognise his talents.
I mean, this has been the master plan for a while. I guess I need to cut out some of the intermediary steps and move faster

I know it’s blasphemous, but I’ve been preferring his 3A this season.....when he doesn’t pop it of course. For better or for worse, we’ll know how he’s looking in about 9 hours. I’ve got the tangerines and vodka at the ready.

He’s too short for me, though! I have to marry Paul Fentz or Kovtun if I don’t want to tower over my imaginary figure skating husband.
Misha’s 3A is one of the purest, most wonderful things on this earth. Pre-reqs for my falling a male skater: deep edges and a solid 3A.
All I can say about the chaos awaiting us is this.

Misha is going on the ice in 30 minutes (if he is going that is). Pity the practices are closed to the public, I want to know what's up with him.

You know, if Misha wants to compete and fail, let him, I have run out of patience with them. As long as it doesn't further endanger his health.

Totally. At this point I just hope she doesn't leave him high and dry, because unless we're not seeing the big picture, Misha is too hard-headed at the moment and even Valentina seems a bit tired of this.
Hopefully he won't end up messing up even more his health.:gaah:
