You know after the shocking partner switching speculation in the Chinese pairs, the "forced" doesn't sound good.
However, I can't hide my excitement over the fact that Mika can compete in the event!

OMG I can't believe! Looking at the website - Michal & Mika seem to follow each other a lot this season!
Oh I have a mixed feelings about it! Mika must be exhausted after Worlds... Hopefully he will treat it as a fun competition.
I feel sorry for Maxim - I thought it was a good opportunity to finish the season on a better note than Worlds. Surely it could not be because of his hand. The statement he gave previously said that it was an undiagnosed at the time fracture but fully healed.

most likely it was, to get american visa is not easy for Russian citizens generally and the last couple years next to impossible as far as I know

This is an off-topic, but your post reminds me of a popular Russian opera singer's acquisition of Austrian citizenship because she felt travelling around the world for her works with Russian citizenship was really hard. That was about 10 years ago, so the current situation would not be like that any more.

Definitely possible for those who, say, have relatives there, but it's not relevant here obviously.
There are probably special conditions in place for athletes, otherwise they all would have trouble travelling to the US for any competitions.

OMG, I love Team EUROPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I mean, I was so upset he had such low percentage of voting and now there's two of my favourites in one team! I hope both Mishas will slay! 
PS Of course not happy, that Kovtun is injured, but I wouldn't have though they would replace him with Misha instead of Alexei Bychenko.

Ok, I found out Max has an ear infection which prevents him from flying. On top of the busted hand, he has pretty lousy luck recently.

That IS a good reason to be forced out of not flying. Ouch.....

I had a sudden job offer to teach intensively that I had be away for over a week... and I just saw the news :shocked:
I hope he's not too tired and wishing him the best of luck!! Hope he enjoys it. (I still have a ton of work piled up on my desk so might not be around for few days more... but now I have to finish everything before TCC starts :noshake

I don't know, but they probably met each other on CoR and on Nationals, they had a lot of photos.
Yulia doesn't like to talk about her private life. There are not a lot of people who knew about her last boyfriend. And tabloids didn't mentioned it. But I have read a lot of people saw them walking together I will try to find some photos, I think they should be somewhere! And Yulia posted a lot of pictures about love in St. Petersburg

It's just a rumour for now. It started when Yulia came to SPB to meet up with a few friends several days ago. Allegedly, she was also seen meeting up with Kolyada. The rumour started on ask.fm. But so far no photos of them together have surfaced. There are however photos of Yulia and Sima together in SPB.How did they get connected emotionally? Yeah I think they can easily be mistaken for a brother and sister. Maybe that's what they are haha
TBH I am more worried now about how Mika will 'survive' Spokane - it is not easy to travel to USA in such short space of time again and at such short notice. He mentioned that he's just started breaking in his new boots - this could be an ordeal in itself. But prize money can be handy too. Good luck Mika!
