Mikhail Kolyada

I like the new mix. It’s a subtle change, but much better imo.

He looks really really good, but I’m trying to keep my expectations minimal, especially with his stamina issues/runny nose. I just hope he can improve on Helsinki.

During the entire session, he had to blow his nose a lot, and there were lots of doubles. At least he landed one of each of his quads.

Hello!

I'm soooo happpy to see that Teledeporte (Spanish TV) is going to stream alive Rostelecom Cup Ueiiiiii!!!! but no everything is ok. Unfortunately I can't follow it comfortable sat in my sofa while eating :popcorn because always coincide with familiar affairs, I guess my son exclaiming "this is so boring!!! I want to see cartoons" or taking him to school just when Misha is ready to skate may be.....but well, we'll see, I'll try.

I'm just worried about that nose, hope is nothing serious.

Anyway, Best, best of luck to Misha!!!! cold head man, leave that nerves in the locker room wastepaper basket and bring out the beast you've got inside. Good, good luck.

I'm not sure I like that music change....but if he feels better with it, then nothing to say. Best jumps, best wishes to Misha. :luv17:

He’s skating second to last, which is not ideal (but at least it isn't last). Skating in Moscow was never ideal to begin with, anyway  hopefully the strong support from his fans creates a positive atmosphere

Practice looked great for Kolyada!
I feel like he'll do really well here, but his skating is lovely regardless :)

Well, for those that asked, the Carmen mix was altered a bit at the end, so I'm waiting for opinions. He landed one salchow, and lots of doubles, haha. One 4t-3t, one 3a-3t. A good number of 3as and 3zs. An excessive number of tissues for blowing his nose, too.

Yes! They got rid of that repetitive section that was a little bit redundant before. I like the changes. Good luck for tomorrow!

At which time in the video is the music changed? After the 3 min mark?
Watching this practice videos where all are dressed in black and is no glitter and costumes to hide the problems, i can better pin why i like Mika's skate so well. He skates big. He might be small, but his skate, his hand movements, his presence on the ice are large and expressive to the watcher from far away. A too subtle or subdued skating can be lovely to watch in TV but live it might get under. But nope, you can tell from far away "this is Mika". And his gesture is so screaming old-school Russian ballet! (i wonder if he would have gone for ballet instead of skating what would have Vaganova made of him).

Like i said two weeks before i don't have hopes that he can show his whole potential in competitions (i hope just a little bit that he can prove me wrong). I wish him he can show as much as he can.

Does anybody know why Misha has been taking so long to set up his jumps this season? I was watching his comps from previous years, and he used to go into that 4T-3T with zero hesitation. It's like I can see him psych himself out before he jumps and I already know what's coming. I was spared from some of the heartbreak because I just closed my eyes

I was really happy he landed the lutz. But then the axel, which has been so gorgeous this season.....oh Misha. I wasn't expecting much from this competition tbh, but when all the men did so poorly I started to get my hopes up for at least a decent placement.

Even in the introductions he looked more nervous than usual. I just want to give him a hug. I wish tomorrow was over already so he can go home, rest up, and try to figure out what the problem is.
