Also, I really wish there was no solo 3S because one again it's impossible to tell whether Misha could have done a Euler combo with a 3S. Why move it to the axel at all, have they decided leaving it to the end is too risky after all?

I am not sure he was actually planning to insert the 3A Euler combo at Euros. He ended up with neither combo so we won't know.

Looking on the positive, around this time in 2017 (actually even a bit later) he literally had no jumps and they managed to pull him together for Worlds. In 2016 he was healthy but still had one scary B comp.

This situation is so unusual, though, because he doesn’t seem to recognize his physical limitations. Or he does—hence the different layout—and is trying his best, but physically he cannot land his jumps. And while I do think something physical is involved, why were his jumps yesterday so beautiful and effortless? Is his stamina that bad for the free?

I am concerned about what a meltdown at Worlds would do to his reputation (both nationally and internationally) and his motivation, though we all know he is a fighter. But I know he will be named to the team no matter what, and I know he would never WD, so thinking about it serves no purpose, I guess.

What is this sudden explosion of supposed insider info post-Talllink Cup? Misha wanted to move to Lambiel, but it didn't get approved. They wanted Misha to move to Arutyunyan, but Misha didn't approve it because it's too far (and Switzerland is apparently just the right distance )

The judges do seem to love him no matter how poorly he performs. Who else (besides Yuzuru) would get an 85 for PCS with 4 falls? Also, maybe by the time he gets to Worlds, he’ll just let it all go and give a great performance. If he does that, even with one quad, he’ll be a force to contend with.

His quad toe wasn't effortless and the SP only has three jumps. He can manage three jumps more or less.

These two pieces of insider info just don't fit together - either Misha is prepared to change coach and go abroad or he is not. I can't believe flight hours are a decisive factor in his case.

I don't think it's a matter of the judges loving him or not--the saying "PCS to the rescue" comes to mind after this program. Other than that, I don't think the judges will actively mark him down when he competes well.

But I'm very interested in the why his flip made a sudden appearance. Also, how will it score in Japan, if he goes.

Also, I know we've talked about the salchow, but really, Misha wants to challenge the top guys, and without it, he won't go anywhere. But then, he fell on his toe and the axel and the lutz, which are not new jumps for him. He's not completely in shape, that's just obvious.

We'll know soon enough anyway. Maybe there are talks of moving away from Valentina, but perhaps it's all hearsay+wishful thinking. I don't know if doing that is the answer for his problems, but again, what do I know.

To make the matters even more fun, the Lambiel insider says that the Raf insider is wrong and Misha did not in fact turn down a sponsored offer to go to Raf.
