Poor Mao & Ando are under such media scrutiny that I don't blame them for crying.
The articles that came out about Miki after the Olympics were horrid. I felt terrible for the poor girl.

I felt sorry for Mao when they filmed her crying after learning the final result at the backstage of the 2007 Worlds. You know, it was the backstage and the American TV showed only her initial cute, adorable gesture of dissapointment, but Japanese TVs focused on her tears after that initial response and made a lot of dramas out of it. I also felt sorry when she needed to have interviews while she was still upset at a couple of occasions.
I understand your view of artistry, technical part influence artistry. And you think if technical part is not right it can not possibly be beautiful.
Sounds like you need the support of commentators, or the support of a majority of people, to form your own opinions of artistic impression , you apparently don’t form your own view by your self.

I can't remember where but I read that YuNa cried soon after her 2008 Worlds SP in private. She was considering withdrawing after the SP because of the pain in her injured hip. I don't think people other than those closest to her knew it. YuNa just doesn't seem like the crying type.

Considering how nitpicking the SA tech panel is, Miki's quad becomes riskier than ever.

I guess Miki decided that SA (with its nitpicky caller) was not the place to try her quad.
Great, just what she needs - more pressure.ETA:
To my great surprise, Yahoo Japan is doing a survey, "Should Miki do the quad?" So bizarre.
As for responses, 78% of the respondents answered yes.
