I thought at well at least the ski delegation will be there and they are big, but they will be dropping out as well because of competition the next day. So literally at this point maybe it only will be Milla, Nikolaj and AndreasI've read that the Swedish hockey players won't attend the opening ceremony, because the men are not there yet and the women are playing the next day. So in Milan there will be only Milla, Nikolaj and Andreas. At least it will be easy to spot them!
Thanks for posting this interview, they look so happy and cuteI am ridiculously happy and proud of Milla and Nikolaj. I remember the joy I felt when they advanced to the Free Dance at 2025 Euros, and slightly more than one year later they’ve qualified for the Free Dance at the Olympics! After having skated together for less than three years!
I was afraid they wouldn't make it for hundredths of a point (yet again), but in the end they managed to scrape by; sad that it took a couple of disasters for it to happen, but I see that many teams struggled with their twizzles yesterday.
I think that Milla and Nikolaj have brilliantly repaid the trust put into them by the SOC and I want them to keep enjoying every single moment of their Free Dance and of their Olympic trip.
Oh, I would also like to see the technical panel and judges of the Olympic Qualifier collectively hanging their heads in shame for about 0.23 minutes.
Here's a link to an interview.
They are clearly overjoyed and excited.
They say they're speechless
Nikolaj tells how the Swedish Federation sports director ran and told him that they were in, and he went to call Milla. Milla says that she started crying.
Then Nikolaj says that everything feels like a dream, getting the quota, being selected, coming to Milan, stepping onto the ice, competing and making the final. He jokes that he wants to buy a lottery ticket next.
From other interviews, Milla's parents were in the arena, and when she spoke to them she cried even more. Nikolaj called his parents on the phone, and his father was screaming with joy (touching, as Papa Majorov always looks so stern and stoic).

I didn´t know Milla parents are in Milano, what a moment for them, and so nice for Milla. They must be so proud! I´m so happy and proud of them too, just hadn´t had the time to process it all yet. I have been hoping for months that they will be able to perform their Romeo&Juliet program in Milano, and I can´t believe it´s actually happening. The audience is going to love it, it´s will be fantastic moment for them and I´m just going to enjoy every moment as well and hopefully they will steal some people heart and get some new fans as well!
