She was fourth, they usually get an invite.Mone Chiba skated so well and ought to have got a Bronze Medal but...
I think that she will still be invited to the Gala?
I hope that she will have a medal at World Championships if she's assigned (I don't even remember, I'm too shaken!) And she may still start last?
Nope, Alysa overtook her in World Standings.Mone Chiba skated so well and ought to have got a Bronze Medal but...

I can hardly believe it! And I read, no Lara Naki Gutmann either! I hope that neither of them is injured and had to decline, of course. Could it be the Norovirus?Gutted for Mone that she didn't get an invitation to the gala.![]()
Until and unless Mone clarifies that she declined the invitation, I will assume she wasn't invited.I can hardly believe it! And I read, no Lara Naki Gutmann either! I hope that neither of them is injured and had to decline, of course. Could it be the Norovirus?
Welcome! I don't know her any personal/official account anywhere, but this X fan account seems reliable (I don't know if they have an Instagram):Hello! Thought I’d pop in and say hi since I’m officially joining the band wagon as a fan
Does Mone have an IG page that I can follow?
Why won't she? Wasn't she also training some quads?Oh, another thing. Do we think Mone is going for the next quad and the Olympics in France? I do hope for her, but the current crop of Japanese juniors going senior is very strong.
There will be Ami Nakai and Mao Shimada of course. I believe that Ami Nakai is likely to mature in her Components which seem to me similar to those Mone Chiba had at the same age, with of course her own style, and I'm now hoping a progression to the "summit"; Mone Chiba's style, carriage... enchant my eyes because they're so Japanese, in the most beautiful meaning of the term, so I'm sure that I will remain her fan, but I admit that it's not something that enters much into a score, and Ami Nakai has a Triple Axel and it seems that she will keep it. I don't want Mone Chiba to get injured in the pursuit of Ultra-C jumps! I'd much prefer her to work on her Lutz edge and her rotations and go on progressing/exploring artistically.Oh, another thing. She was attempting 4Ts at some point, yes. But I fear she would get injured or worse if she pushes for it.Why won't she? Wasn't she also training some quads?
Mhm, Hamada is my issue. There will be Ami Nakai and Mao Shimada of course. With fair scoring in Components, after Kaori Sakamoto's retirement and provided Ami Nakai goes on progressing, Mone Chiba would be second only to her. The problem will be that the Japanese federation is not favourably known there, and I confess that I don't trust her coach very much either.
