Israel’s Sophia Shifrin reflects on her breakthrough 2025-26 season, her Junior Worlds success, new programs, and working on the triple Axel and quads for next season.

What stood out most to you about her season, and what are your expectations for 2026-27? What do you think her ceiling is on the junior circuit?

According to Panova, the coaching team is taking a long-term approach to the season while preparing for the Junior Grand Prix circuit.

“The goal is to have successful performances at the two Junior Grand Prix events, to prepare for Junior Worlds and show a good result,” said the coach.

Another interesting feature about a youngstel. I like that she is willing to learn, but that health is the priority. I also like the coach who says being headstrong is a good qulity. Nice!
