The good news is that I'll get to see Nam compete in person for the first time! The bad news is that I only have the Saturday ticket, so I won't get to watch his SP, which I love more than his LP. :sad21: I didn't know when the ACI tickets first went on sale if any of my favourites would be assigned there, so I thought it was better to be cautious, but now I'm totally regretting that decision. :gaah:

i saw nam at nationals ... so second time for me... and same... only lp... i work on friday so i didn't risk it...

Nam earned the second-highest over-all score during the National Summer Series (237.67), behind Nicolas Nadeau (250.60). However, Skate Canada hasn't awarded that berth to anyone yet, so I would surmise that it will wait until after the candidates have completed their Challenger Series events before deciding.

^^^Makes sense! Thx for the info. Loved seeing Nam at Sk Am last year. We all knew of his Worlds struggles and enjoyed encouraging him. Being that it was the beginning of the season, his programs still needed a fair amount of polish. But he seemed so happy and appreciated the audience's support.

Nam earned a Personal Best SP score of 88.40 at the 2017 Autumn Classic International (he beat his previous one by almost 9 points), and he's in 3rd place! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-Jed8NoE8Y Of course, it makes me that much more sad that I couldn't get a Friday ticket for this event.


Arriba627, in case you didn't already know this, Nadeau was assigned to SCI last week, so Nam won't be there.

This is my only fancam of Nam from the 2017 ACI, which happens to be his Thursday LP practice: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x62e27b As I've already mentioned, I didn't have a Friday ticket, and on Saturday, security was very strict about enforcing the no video recording policy.

Although I had filmed these with my camera (which creates 1080p videos) from my friend's TV screen, the quality is fairly good for this type of recording. I don't have a tripod, so I did my best not to move my hands as much as possible.
