Nathan apparently in a photo shoot for Teen Vogue

Preview photos for the James Corden show

Article reporting on the pair of Nike sneakers he won on Fallon

If you have a Japan VPN you can watch this short video from NHK. Nathan has a brief appearance and they peek into his bag to see that he brought a basketball and football to practice!

Nathan is confirmed for the Tokyo stop of SOI Japan. Still waiting on news of the Osaka dates, which could depend on the coronavirus situation in Japan.

The full James Corden show

I think he's just gonna skip Worlds, but who knows...so sweet watching him skate with little Levi at his home training rink. Looks like a close-knit community there at Great Park Ice. I bought my Stars on Ice tickets today! Excited!

Beijing was a lot of time spent in training too though. I didn't mind him doing the media tour, I actually enjoyed it, since he got to step away from training a bit, have some distraction, and regroup. I would still love for him to do Worlds...but then I also want him to keep doing US Nats and Worlds every year till the next Olympics, so I'm a tad bit biased. LOL

Nathan was spotted practicing on a public session. Looks like his Mozart program.

If not at Worlds then I really do hope he does it on his SOI tour. I would love to be able to attend that and see him perform it live.

Wow, seeing him practicing in a rink filled with so many people is giving me some anxiety though. Must be hard because you really have to watch what you're doing and where you're going. Not only that but covid hasn't exactly gone away.

Phil Hersh's article was recently updated with what I believe are new quotes from Scott Hamilton and Hayes Jenkens.
“I believe no one will be able to replicate what Nathan has done and can do,” Hamilton said. “He is a one-of-a-kind talent that I’m grateful has come into our world in my lifetime.

“Nathan is cut from the same cloth as Dick Button (the 1948 and 1952 gold medalist.) Not being satisfied with the status quo, Nathan did everything possible (and impossible) to build his athleticism in a way no one else previously had.”

Jenkins, who competed against Button, expected how well Chen skated at the Olympics because he has seen Chen skate that way repeatedly before.

“First, he has done the finest athletic performances by a man I ever have seen,” Jenkins said. “Second, they were coupled with very significant artistic performances. Look at his arms, his hands, his carriage. It is all very fluid, not exaggerated, and everything has a purpose.

“And, third he was very aware of the music, which we know not all skaters are.”
