No, there simply was not enough time to get a photo with him holding it - I was selfish enough as it was, getting several signatures, haha. I think I will try at SOI Meet and Greet; maybe I will attempt the SP outfit for that one (it did not look good miniaturized, but that may not quite been the fault of my knitting skills tbh...)

I totally saw that girl and her drawing!
The framing and background of the pictures make it look a lot less crowded than it was, haha. Those are some nice images from behind the table (surreptitiously downloads for the photo hoard).

Hmmm, wonder where and when the Coke cups are coming out. I think Nike's sponsorship of Nathan was his biggest personal boon - I get the feeling that he just wears whatever he is given and not actively trying to push the brand. He just happens to feel like wearing athletic-wear all the time, so it feels natural. :laugh:

The wall promo looks like it's on the wall of subway platform. I didn't see Yuki at the Send Off, so it would make sense if she was still in NYC. Also, looks like Rule 40 has started - it will be interesting to how well that plays out this year.

So this Rule40 started, does it mean that Nathan BOI cannot wear NIKE stuff anymore.

If Nike the official sponsor of the game? Confused.

If BOI cannot wear NIKE anymore, what clothes will BOI wear, he only has that pile of NIKE stuff on his floor/bed etc.

Which country is Romain representing at Olympics? Everyone is wearing country's team jacket except Nathan. He is not your average Olympian, it is all about being "super cool", or just being low key by standing out with white Nike jacket, lol. Got to love this boy.

Unfortunately Romain wasn't picked for his country, France. I don't even think he's the first alternate, although I'm not 100% sure about that.

Is this an abbreviation of Boss on Ice? or just pun with Boy? :biggrin:

i DONT KNOW where that nick name BOI come from, I just remembered I started to call Nathan BOI long time ago,

I guess it is because, lots of his friends (mostly fellow skaters) call him BOI on social media.

Including his couch Raf and Nathan himself refer him BOI.

As for why BOI not boy, it is because, it seems everyone is using BOI not BOY on social media..

I call him "three three" in Chinese social media tho.

yes, that is pretty lame, interview recorded before hand, not specifically refer to his 2018 NATIONAL fs, haha I was expecting him talking a little about his rushed timing in stsq.

Do you guys know which performance Nathan BOI is possibly talking about?
 
Nathan did his US Figure skating media call tonight - but there weren't many tweets about it, I only saw two - where he talked about how he doesn't know what layout he will do (of course) and that his boots and blades are all good to go. :)
 
But it is nice to hear Nathan talk a little about his FS. I am glad, he mentioned 2 key points in his free. 1, the Chinese traditional music instrument motif (erhu to be specific) after his stsq is referring to his longing/love emotion to his Mother, which I also identified it before, it is a recurring music motif whenever the main character (in the movie) thinking about his mother and has turmoils in his heart. 2, the last part of his FS is ended on a HAPPY note. that is a sensation not only me but almost all Chinese figure skating fans has identified with. That is maybe this FS( like the movie) is solemn in parts, has obstacles in parts, but it is ended on a HAPPY note with HOPE and LIFE

EDIT: I wrote a music/program artistic direction analysis for Nathan's FS months ago in Chinese, and posted on my Chinese social media account.
That was a quick response to the Anti-China propaganda (started by Nathan's haters, but Majority of Chinese figure skating fans and community ADORES Nathan's FS music choice) targeted against Nathan's FS happened in China social media back then (which WE has briefly discussed about on this Nathan's fan thread). Funny thing is that besides the 2 key points mentioned above, I also mentioned the second half, condensed jump drill ( that is inevitable for current point gaining strategy). And Nathan BOI mentioned that in this FS break down video too.
I am pretty sure that nobody outside of China read my write-up (it was really rushed, tons of grammar/spelling errors, but I wrote it out of passion and love back then). But still felt really happy rn that, Nathan BOI seems share with my understanding of his FS, even if it is just a little bit.

BOI is improvising in all his competitions. I cannot believe it, he is the ONLY one...

how can he manage to land his QUAD (no less) jumps on music note by just improvising every time (under pressure and not rush the jump timing). BOI's innate musicality is insane. OR his program's music melody/timing has already desovled into his bones.

Check out his FS opening Quad jump music timing, no matter it is 4loop, 4lutz+3T, 4F-3T, every time his quad jump music timing is exquisite (matched exquisitely to that brush dance music notes). it gets me every time.

But BOI improvising strategy really keeps me on the edge all the time........:noshake:

Nathan's Superbowl commercial is awesome! I love all the hockey guys got off the ice and cleared the way for the figure skater. :D

First time, BOI mentioned this, get me into tears. BOI is not just a once-in-a-generation figure skating talent any more, he is well on his way to become ...
