Nathan Chen

Woohoo lots of goodies thanks.

Never thought I would say this, hearing the screams is just pure bliss haha he’s starting the new fan scream revolution. I really enjoy the US men’s group number, the way they intricately move across the ice , the costume served as a nice accent to the music beat and Nathan killed it as a smoother operator.

Huge thanks to everyone for the social media education and especially the links and re-posts. :hap10:

Photo taken by Charlie. Apparently there’s a push for Nathan to do a hsm ex ?!

I would rather he brought back Chopin Concerto #1 with simplified jumping passes for a gala program. I would love it if the program opens with music from the 2nd movement of the Concerto. But odds of hsm > odds of a classical gala program, in light of ice basketball.

Ok compare the gazillion lady, here’s a mini one

I'm so happy to see that gorgeous last spin from Nemesis. Thank you for the link.

It's a shame we won't get to see both programs. With only 1 hour for highlights NBC will probably show only 'Back from the Edge,' since that's the program with the quad (assuming reports that there was no quad in Nemesis are accurate). I'm disappointed that Scott Hamilton played up the quad under the lights in his twitter remark on Orlando SOI, since quads are not necessary to entertain the audience in a gala, and Scott himself said during 2018 Nationals NBC gala broadcast that he 'never want to see that again,' referring to Nathan's injury from a quad during 2016 Nationals exhibitions.

It is good to see that he was so *on* in every clip I could catch of both Nemesis and Back from the edge. Thanks again, everyone.

@skfan It makes business sense (against our liking) to show a portion on TV for tix promo purpose and I wonder if they will show the complete event months down the road, maybe the one I remember watching on TV years back was also a highlight. And I don’t think Hamilton was playing up his quad, to me, it was a genuine applause for his talent, he’s been supportive of Nathan and most likely it was Nathan’s decision to throw one in since I’m sure the audience who follows FS would love to see one live. I do hope for his body sake to not include them but we should know he’s is by now ;) night.

I discovered some awesome clip. I have always thought that Don Quixote is perfect fit for Nathan, and this video is so amazing...!

OMG. This is unbelievable! I really love his short program from last year. When he danced ballet, his upper body is more spread out. Just perfect. His posture is not as good in other pgrograms. His posture bothers me sometimes.

omg - Nathan and Don Q!! I will say I have never thought of him in that and now it seems so associated with Alina, probably for the best not to go there. I think Le Corsaire was a better fit for him.
I think overall Nathan’s posture was pretty good at worlds, but especially in his ex, not as great - though that may be a deliberate aesthetic choice and for a more contemporary feel - like some of the slumpy movement in Back from the Edge. The problem is that it doesn’t look that great with his double shirt choice - especially that ill fitting white shirts. The Vera team has his measurements - please make him a custom white shirt made of material with a bit of stretch !! I’m beginning to appreciate Vera more and more these days - the outfits he wore at worlds are super flattering, make him look amazing (ok not really that hard - ha), the fabric looks super luxurious and he looks super comfortable wearing them.

His posture in EX bothers me. I'm not knowledgeable about dance. Not sure it's deliberate. It just doesn't look good.

Very Wang definitely grows on me. As long as she stays away from his hair, I'm fine.
