Yes, very important to consider what Nathan does well since GOEs now have greater contribution to score. It is now very important to get high GOEs across the board, and I do think Nathan is working on that.

Wondering if he is going to do 4Lo this time. Hopefully we can see if he has made any improvement with his 3A in a few days, and people won't blame him for Dima forgetting about his 3A in his FP at Lombardia ;)


And I agree with lurkz2 in that he needs to working on improving his GOE, there are too much uncertainties with that new combo.

Thank you sheetz for the translating such a long interview. I wish he would have such in depth interview with US media. I have the feeling that he is quite at ease with the interview, and that is why he just keeps going and going with his plans, life goals etc. :laugh:

I guess that Nathan maybe leaving for japan today because official practice start at 5th. ( and he need to adapt to the time difference.)🤔

Nathan’s last competition was over 6 months ago!

But he has skated in quite a lot of shows since then. At least from what we’ve seen (shows, practice videos) - he has looked good. Though we haven’t seen anything super recently - since he started school.

Feeling more excited than nervous :)

Not very nervous this time compared to last year. Last year was the Olympic season with all its associated craziness, and this time around Nathan himself has seemed quite relaxed since winning Worlds. Moreover, none of the other top guys has been especially impressive so far, unlike last year when Shoma had already put up a crazy high score at Lombardia.

I am curious to how how he fares with the new rule changes, however. In particular I want to see how he handles the shortened program length. Something tells me that the increased physical demands may actually give Nathan a slight advantage over the other top men.
