Nathan Chen

omgomgomg so happy!
I was shoooooketh watching it online, that 4F... perfect! and +4.4 GOE proves it! :yahoo:
I'm amazed by how quickly he changed his face expression and came back to his role in the beginning of the program when there was no music! Like he was smiling, not understanding what's going on, and then the music started and he immidiately started skating - I didn't even realize the music has began!
Sooooo sad 'bout the 4Lz cause we all know it was more than perfect in yesterday's practice... I hope he brings it back solidly after the holidays with Rafael. It is a thing of beauty.
Andddd I'm so glad that his ChSq has the biggest GOE among ALL the men skaters! Like... who could've thought?! Even the recognized "choreo" skaters didn't get such GOE

The falls and edge calls might make him mad and might be contributing a little. The 4fs are stunning to watch. Hope he would get similar goes for his 4lz

I hope so. The 4z has always been better than his 4f in terms of quality and was looking so crazy good in practice. Actually all of his jumps were a level higher than before. Watching his practice clips I’m so happy to see the technical improvement he has made on particularly his 3A and 4f - the best I’ve ever seen him do these two jumps.

All jumps in his practice are +5 goe worthy to me:luv17:

Congratulations to Nathan on his gold medal. Was that one of the cutest podiums ever?! He draws me in immediately in that short program with his energy and his boyish charm. I still laugh every time he "directs" the orchestra. At this point, I'm not feeling the FS as much, but maybe it will grow on me as the season goes along. How anyone does all that he does schedule wise is beyond me. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
Very proud of him as a representative of the U.S. and of figure skating.

Haven’t been here posting since forever due to some new things happening in life. I did religiously followed his competitive season with the Gold Pass on NBCSN, love this pass!! Chat more when I finish my exam lol big congrats to Nathan!!

Actually it didn't. Nathan got +1.29, Shoma got 1.86, Junhwan got 1.43, Michal got 1.93, Keegan got 1.57 and Sergei got 0.64. Not sure where you saw that.

I think the other CBC commentator was Nick McCarvel.

No, Nick doesn't work with CBC. The men that have done commentary for CBC so far this event are Kurt Browning, Dylan Moscovitch and Asher Hill. I believe Dylan did Men along with Pairs.
