lol, I cannot keep up with this FF either, Nathan probably won't talk as fast as this FF moves. Somestime I just read the last several pages 
Just read the NBC article. I am not surprised If he is not going to take another coach at this time even though secretly wished one. He probably would do like what Derrick Delmore had done before, communicate weekly about his progress via skype or face time, with Raf flying over occasionally to check in his progress. I doubt he has anytime to fly back to Cali given his schedule during fall. There are too many unknowns regarding Yale, and I think he has done pretty good planning with all the information he has available at this point. Yale's track record in supporting student athletes is really not that good compared with other ivies, making training schedule especially difficult, let alone finding a coach to work around schedule. skfan or other Yale alum please correct me if I am wrong. Given that the first year is just test run, it makes sense to me if he doesn’t want to go through all the hassles of finding another coach at this point.
Here is the article I mentioned before which might help a little as to some of uncertainties Nathan himself probably doesn't have any answer. It was written 7 years ago. There might be improvement since then.

"free academic time period between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. during which time no classes may be held" at Princeton and Cornell would be really helped a lot for athletes in terms of scheduling, which Yale was reluctant to implement then, and doesn't seem to have any changes from what that NBC article.

He is not leaving Raf now. Two things Nathan keeps bringing up or is very consistent since worlds is that he wants to go to Yale, and he is going to stick with Raf. He doesn't need to emphasize this if he doesn't intend to. It is not for paper of K&C purpose.
But not finding another coach doesn't mean he would not work with choreographers, and Raf can always send someone from his team to help Nathan, just like what he did initially with Mao to send Nadia to Japan when Mao could not come back to Cali.
In the meantime, Nathan could take this class, offered by either by Dance study program or Theatre program. Just don't know how hard it is.

But even Delmore had local people he worked with. I wonder if Nathan will have his choregrapher(s) come to work with him on occasion. He's said before that Shae would sometimes train him in Lakewood, though she may have been pulling double duty with Ashley at the time.
How much can one improve SS by oneself? Is it enough to have trained with people like Marina, Shae, and Patrick to then be able to employ those methods for himself?
