It’s been a whirlwind post-Games experience for many of the skaters, as the Stars on Ice national tour kicked off in mid-April, a mere weeks after the world championships in Milan for skaters like Nathan Chen.

“For me, after the Olympics it was worlds, then I was focused on college stuff, tour, now I’m here,” Nathan told TeamUSA.org. He confirmed Tuesday night that he did, indeed, intend to go to Yale University this coming fall – and keep skating.

“The fact that I competed at the Olympics still kind of blows my mind,” he added with a wry smile. “(But) I don’t think the Olympics have really changed me at all. Life is still the same… it’s still crazy.”

here is an anecdote about young Nathan. maybe baby Nathan predicted on NBC TV that he will compete in 2018 OG when he is only 10 years old.
but in private life, when a young Nathan was asked "do you think you will compete in Olympics", his answer is acctually "Seriously? Me?"

The Ice is IMG show (as well as SOI), J-Butt who is The Ice long-term choreographers is also with IMG.
could became Nathan's show.... but it is in Japan, will it come to US...
IDK, but I kinda do NOT like this idea.

^ No it would stay in Japan in the summer time but it’s only a few days, it’s not like it would take him away for months on end or anything. I think it’d be a good way to make some easy, good money in one spot rather than taking on multiple shows in multiple countries back and forth like right now because he probably won’t have as much time to do that. Headlining one tour in one country would be more convenient and Japan pays the most to its stars.

also， The Ice invited Marin, I don't know what agent Marin signed, but Marin is probably the most hyped next star quality Japanese skater. maybe The Ice will be headliner by Marin in the future IDK.
also, Marin is training with Nathan within Raf's camp, so as eum soo who is with ATS. Got a little excited about possible show collabs with Nathan.

unfortunately I think I really do not have the resources at this time in my life to be able to see Nathan skate live - other than SOI. The $499/night hotel room (minimum - and according to the resort, these non-suite rooms are very hard to book) in order to have access to the Sun Valley Ice meet and greet (and this may be in addition to the $499/night), shows in Japan ... guess I can only support Nathan from afar - maybe Skate America in the future or possibly save for Montreal worlds 2020 or a future Japan trip someday ...

please Nathan go to 4cc ...

Oatmella, have you considered looking outside of the sun valley resort? Hotels are much cheaper and there are a lot of Airbnb options. The town seems to be a 15 min drive and they have a shuttle that runs between the resort and the town even if you don’t drive. Also I think if your objective is to meet Nathan, other than the m&g you can probably also go watch practices (which is how that first clip of Nemesis was filmed and leaked) which I’m assuming is open to the public and you might get a chance to meet/chat with him at least briefly that way?

My summer plans have changed anyhow and I have to work that week and weekend I don’t want to sound like a crazy fan - but if I was making the trip there to see Nathan, I would want to go to the meet and greet too ... guess it’s only for the more wealthy Nathan fans

regardless, Nathan will still take the repsonsibility to earn US 3 spots for next year as US no. 1 man.

I don't even sure if Nathan will go to Nationals, which is not in his Yale school breaks. Maybe USFS will give him a bye if has to.

My friend said it was pretty warm yesterday in NYC - so I don’t think it was the weather lol
