Nathan Chen

wow! Three competitions - true Nathan fan 😍

I prefer 4CC too - way easier for me to attend. Are GPF tickets still available? No way could I travel that week though.

Are you thinking of attending Nationals? This year's Nationals was in the same venue as where I saw SOI ! But I vaguely remember looking at the ticket prices and thinking they were expensive - I think it was necessary to purchase all-event tickets to see Nathan? I wasn't anywhere as much a Nathan fan as now - another Nathan regret :( - seems to be a theme here - ha
Just 2, SA or 4CC, 4cc preferred, and gpf

I only need men's event, possibly lady's, couldn't find where to purchase single event tickets.

OMG, folks this is a FAMILY FORUM! LOL

Anyway, our Japanese fan was the one who gave Nathan the Apple watch! She split the cost with another of Nathan's fans.

Cute story: She started singing happy birthday and then Jason and Vincent, who were at the next table, started singing along. She asked Nathan if he had one already and was relieved when he answered no.

wow, she must be the most famous Nathan fans ever!!:luv17:

Maybe , this season i will go national, but just waiting for weekend ticket.🤔All event ticket seems to be not necessary for see Nathan.

another way to stalk skaters is to live in official hotels during competitions. I know lots of fans got everything they wanted, though this way. But competitions are general more intense than ice shows, skaters are usually in a hurry and fan service is not what they suppose to do (not as relaxed as in shows).

You’re seriously encouraging this? NO! Everyone DO NOT do this.

Ha-ha did you forget how Nathan entered the arena through a regular entrance at CoR? :D :D like, he wanted to go to the practice room but smh got lost and basically went to the arena like a regular visitor? lol Many girls were lucky to catch him, hug him, etc lol

yes, at COR Nathan is still not a very high profile skater like he is now and it is in Russia (a foreign country), thus it is easier than inside of US.

yes, including, selfies, chat, like I have chatted with skaters (international) about choreo etc. And heard some fans were even invited to their hotel room, exchanged cell phone numbers etc.

Yeah sorry, I would say they are exaggerating alot there. Skaters aren’t inviting fans to their rooms or exchanging numbers. At least not the American/Canadian ones. :disapp::rolleye:

not encouraging, but it is something does exist. Not all that weird. but yes, better do NOT disturb skaters during competition.

Yes, it is actually very weird. And I’m speaking from the skaters perspective: They are normal people who happen to skate at an elite level. Do not do this. It’s extremely scary at times for them.

well, this is just my personal experience, some international skaters (e.g. Chinese skaters) are actually very happy to meet fans from their own countries in US and some not so famous skaters actually are also very happy that some figure skating fan would approach to them to chat. I don't sense these skaters felt uncomfortable at all.

About GPF ticket, it already sold out.
It was sold out while I was thinking about it.😢

...:sad4:no...

ETA
"Please note We will be adding additional tickets for public sale. Please check back here for availability. There is a delivery delay... more"

Perhaps only some special packages were sold out, individual tickets are still to be added. I remember there was a thread about GPF presale tickets.

I thought Kolyada said before that he was very happy for fans to approach him, as the skating culture in Russia is not like in Japan

I know some people dm with skaters (NOT Nathan!) and these skaters seem to appreciate the interest and support. Though I suspect some of these people exchange dm's in a way to feel closer to Nathan (like chatting with Karen)

I do not support 'stalking' - but it seems that some skaters do appreciate the attention and love from fans
