Nathan Chen

yes, didn't Travis choreograph Adam's SOI program?

ok - now I'm getting excited for a Travis Wall program for Nathan! haha

With Nathan's dance ability/movement quality and Travis' creativity and choreography - this would be super exciting

And Rostelecom Cup squeeze from Raf is an iconic moment!

Haha, what is his reaction when you told him asking RAF not to squeeze him?

He laughed and shrugged, even the commentators have a good time seeing that right. You have no idea the one hour notes we typed up right after m&g... tiring but glad we did it haha.

Nathan isn't going to retire anytime soon! I will not even consider such a thought ...

It sounds like Nathan really does have a bond with Raf. So despite Raf's sometimes questionable comments or things we (I!) may not agree with, I really do think Nathan is being genuine in his intention of staying with Raf for the rest of his skating career (though I think this is the first time I've heard Nathan say this in so many words).
Same here. I have issues with Raf, but I never doubt Nathan’s sincerity of what he has been saying all along. Afterall, only he and his family know what is best for him, and they are all extremely intelligent people. I don’t know If he would change one day, but for now this is what he strong believes and I respect it and hope everything would work out for him

And I don’t think he would retire soon!!!

hhh - either you talk at least as fast as Nathan - or you got quite a lot of time with him during the m&g :).

Thank you for taking notes right after the m&g :)

Travis and Benji. Dang I remember seeing their season of So you think you can dance way back when, how time flies 😂

That’d be cool though, I’ll have to look up programs of theirs if they’ve choreoed for any skaters before. Can Lacey work with Nathan please? She was my fav 😂

haha - now we can just start listing all our favorite dancers :). Benji has done choreo for Jeremy Abbott (I think he was the first skater he worked with) and Adam. I'm not sure if there are others?

This very well known ballet dancer worked with Papadakis/Cizeron on their Moonlight Sonata program:

news of Nathan having another Shae-Lynn program is already on twitter ... and apparently some fans want a Seven Nation Army program for Nathan

Nathan is a Taurus with a Capricorn Moon, he’s not retiring until he gets his Olympic Gold and establishes himself as the GOAT, just trust me on this people 😂 😂 😂 😝. To describe him as overly ambitious is an understatement

Nathan working with an actual ballet dancer would actually...make a lot of sense lol. I’m hoping it happens at some point, he has access more than most given his background I’m sure

I remember someone recommended seven nation army in this FF

Depending on how fast/slow people move from table to table before/after you. The Japanese lady was very chatty with each skater so lucky us. Yes, I don’t want to share things I myself later have no recollection.

I’m so glad that was all I shared giving how first-hand info seems to trump everything else. Sigh.

I do!!! It crossed my mind and OMG that would be mind blowing, or have Jack White write one just for him. Wouldn’t it be cool to have him strumming his guitar as an opening to his program? Aww 😍

If Nathan is working with Shae on one program I have a feeling he won't be getting another dance type of choreographer (like Benji) for the other program. My guess it'll be another dancey type SP and another more poignant type of LP :)

Or just something a little more serious/lyrical/emotion evoking type of LP, modern or classical :) (Mozart included)

I'm surprised a lot of people don't want Lori. I thought she really did a great job with MLD....at least the original version that it was intended to be ;)

ETA: I think I'll be fine with basically any choreographer I can think of right now besides Morozov. And I'll be meh but okay with Jeff Buttle

I agree - I thought she did a great job with this program and was inspired by Nathan.

But it seems that not everyone is a fan of MLD - including the music. I have seen some say that they wish there was no Rite of Spring section, and others say they wish the whole program was Rite of Spring ?!

Benji first worked with Jeremy Abbott on his SP for the 2012 season and then also did the 2013 season Spy SP. He's also done some exhibitions for him.

Travis has worked with Adam on his Adele program for SOI.

While we're talking about dancers back in 2010 Mark Ballas choreographed Evan Lysacek's "Man in the Mirror" program for SOI.

Oh well... At least from reading the boards at the time the original reaction to MLD when it debuted was overwhelmingly positive, even outside the ff :)

I love to see him doing some jazz in hipster/Astaire remake costumes.

Update: Yes on working with a ballet dancer/choreographer and shock the men’s competition showing what ballet is about, not just flanking arms around is called artistry.
