Performed Nemesis again. Clean, as expected: 4T, 3Lz, 3F

Is Nathan the only skater that performed quad in the show?

Ever since the new ISU rules have come out, I have seen lots of theories how this will affect Yuzu’s future layout, but not as much comparatively about Nathan. Since Nathan has been doing a lot of 4T, 3Lz, and 3F, it seems a pity if he doesn’t get to do them in his future free skates, and then I suddenly had a thought about his possible future layout plans.

We know that his favorite jump is the 4T, but I have to wonder if his eventual plan is to use his comfort with the 4T to create new challenging jumping layouts. If his 4T becomes his money jump, just like Yuzu has 3A as a money jump, it will give him a lot of possibilities. He’s been working on adding a 4T-1/2L-3S, but if he is comfortable enough with it, he might be able to eventually do a 3F-4T too. If at first he accidentally pops the 4T into a 3T or 2T, he will lose points, but it comparatively isn’t a big mistake.

If he can do a combo ending with a 4T, that is a will help him maximize his combos, not having to ‘waste’ any jumping on a 2T. Even if he doesn’t add back a 4L in the near future, he would still be able to do a pretty rad layout.

If he decides to add in a Loop, then it probably would have to wait for if his technique is stable enough to do a quad-quad combo before it would really be worthwhile

@kelly, before sheetz give us more information, it seemed Yuzuru was doing 4t3t yesterday and succeeded. That English tweet account had brief report of what lots of skaters were doing.Yuzuru attempted 4T the previous day, but failed. His 3A attempt was quite very beautiful tho.

Nathan needs to focus on 3A before his haters kick him out top men’s club in their mind

I can see him trying some crazy combos, but he just has to get them to the right level of consistency. Otherwise I think bringing back 4Lo will be his first goal.

There's a chance a new Shibs vlog will come out soon so hopefully we'll see him there. I have to think he'll want to get both his programs choreographed this month as he's going to be pretty busy in July.

His "family" are skating in a show next weekend in Ohio, but I guess the chances are pretty slim that he'll show up to cheer them on. LOL

He was so absent from social media that you almost feel it was intentional. I saw more pics of Sota Yamamoto than of Nathan.

By the cast list he's the top headliner for DOI so far so he should be receiving lots of attention there. S/M and V/M are also guests but singles skaters are vastly more popular than pairs/ice dance skaters in Japan. Strange that Shoma isn't listed because he's virtually in every show.
