Nathan Chen

speaking of costumes.
We wanna more neck PLEASE.

Could do a V neck line, it will be very sexy and alluring. (and appropriate for Nathan's on-ice persona)
also a bit low cut on the back in the neck area as well.

if all of this is impossible, I prefer Nathan's dark grey tee, he used in practice.

also Ciz's costume in 2016 free dance could be an inspiration. Ciz and Gab's lyrical comtempary dance is prehaps the best in the biz.

Love both Nathan's SP and LP, thanks for everybody's posting, especially Mamamiia!

For costume of Nathan’s LP, I am intrigued by Jeremy’s midnight ninja looking. It all comes down to how you interpret the music, and I like the mystic feel of that show program. Nathan’s costume should have a strong presence on ice to impress audience and judges, as he is this thin body build and non-showy personality.

Hope Nathan can visit his choreographers multiple times to polish his programs. It feels weird he is going to practice on his own in Connecticut only to time to time getting technical instructions from Raf.:scratch2::confused:

V-neck, dark blue - Dmitri Aliev wore this:

Another beautiful ‘Build a Home’ program - I really loved all of Aliev’s music last season.
Hope one season Nathan will also do a classical/ballet short + modern dance/abstract P/C-type free like Dima did :luv17:

Maybe Nathan can get his costume for the free designed by Guillaume (he designs their costumes, right?) with input from Sam Chouinard  I really love all of P/C's costumes.

land of all has some modern dance/abstract P/C feel to it, but also some dark, sinister, apolitical feel to it, that Nathan would be an extra-ordinary skater to interpret.

also, I watched Dima's build house, dance-wise (not talking about posture), I really prefer Nathan.

forget to add, every suggestion post, is just my trivial 2% dollar.

Dima's costume has gloves on it, gloves if used well could emphasize hand gesture.

I hate gloves with a burning passion. It would be especially wasteful on someone with truly beautiful hands like Nathan. I already wish the sleeves on his Land of All costume from Sun Valley were shorter so I can see his whole hand at least up to the wrist.

that is why I prefer his dark-grey T-shirt to his show costume.

The virtue of the grey T is it's soft so it doesn't bunch up, and it lets me see more of his beautiful arms. And he does a nicer job of keeping his shoulders down when he's relaxed.

Nathan is doing everything possible to make me wish for the return of Vera, the known and lesser evil-- at least compared to his buying stiff shirts off the rack and wearing them in shows. *sigh*

A shirt can be sequin-free and absolutely devoid of glamour (or color) and still be soft, stretchable, and not bunch up and draw people's attention to one's posture issues. I wish he would consider that.

on twitter, Nathan fans are posting about the background story of Desierto, which Land of All is the soundtrack.
