Nathan Chen

Something that he's not quite capable of yet.

I think it's:

4S
4Lo
4F
3A
-----
3A+4T
4Lz+3T
4Lz+1/2Lo+3S

One quad and one triple repeated. All combos in the second half.

make it even higher

4S
4Lo
4F
3A
-----
3A+4T
4Lz+3loop
4Lz+1/2Lo+3F

4loop
4Lutz
4F
eagle+3A (at least one bullet for GOE)
-----
4F+3T (reinforce his SP combo)
4T-lo-3F (he did this combo in last year practice)
4S-3loop (just a cute edge jump combo I personally like)

7 jumping passes, 6 quads(5 different kinds), repeats 4F (best in the world), included 3A, and 3 types(back-end jump) of jump combo.

Me too, there was someone that shared it over on the EDGE part of the forum on Sunday and I pointed out to her that it was an unlisted YouTube video and I really hoped she got the persons permission first before posting it all over.

She came back and said that no she didn't and she even took it to another forum. :palmf:

This is simply incorrect.:noshake::palmf:

That poster never said he or she took it to another forum. The poster was apologetic. I read that post as the poster meant they *took it* from FSU, if you would look at time stamps the FSU post was first. Which before wrongly making assumptions about a poster, should have been checked.

Whether vids should be credited or not is another discussion, but wouldn’t the way to solve that be another post saying “Thanks to Poster X for the great vid”.:agree:

And unlisted vids for a skater as popular as Nathan will always be found.;)

Me too, I LOVE practice/rehearsal videos because they’re organic and in the ones from SV, reactions from the spectators are endearing, my heart swoons when people cheer him on or get just as excited as me haha.

me too:love:

the Fan Fest next door posted some very **** Mic's beach body. which reminds me of and miss our Nathan's lean (not bulky)fast twitch muscles...

Remember that video of him and Romain in scuba diving costumes... maybe it's even better than Mic's photo :luv17::biggrin:

me too :luv17: watching him practice in person is even better, you can interact with him if brave enough lol

Thanks for trying to protect my video content and the crediting! Posting anything outside of friends and family is completely new to me. At this point, I only have 2 goals, to make it as easy as possible for Nathan fans to see his skating and hopefully to provide more angles for professionals to assess his new programs and to provide him valuable feedback. As a casual fan, I am not worrying much about crediting so I feel no pressure about the video quality. Nathan has so many talented fans that create amazing art and interesting content for him, those are the ones that should be credited.

You’re welcome. I feel very strongly with crediting owner of videos etc. it’s not hard to see it was unlisted. ;)

I LOVE Nathan's SP sooooo much, the opening shoulder choreo:love::luv17: Nathan please do not wear your over-sized shirt+vest show costume cos it completed blocked that shoulder/neck choreo, the practice dark grey tee is already perfect.

On insta there is a moment in Nathan's SP, he bends backwards, like he is doing a lay-back spin.

speaking of spin, just read the rule book, Nathan's SP spin lay-out, seems is change foot camel spins. flying sit spin and change-foot combination spin.

also the steps into lutz https://youtu.be/xfIC44dsRkI?t=92, every steps (including choctaw) as well as lutz toe picking and landing is on the beat of music:love: +6GOE

also I like the music beats before the SP start. one beat seems caught Nathan's attention and he started to dance albeit still half drunk (or sleepy not old enough yet) #nomad #ontheroad

this video https://www.instagram.com/p/BlqG6WoDo7R/?taken-by=sachiko_n_satsuki from our famous Japanese fan Satsuki:luv17:(Thank you:agree:) is Nathan practicing long program (first part) choreo without jump.
Very complex in-between choreos.:love::luv17::o:

ETA, one fan commented "I got triggered by those "sleeves rolling" moves cause he did those in Mao's Last Dancer"

actually this move is not "sleeves rolling" (which is deliberate in Last Dancer), it is one kinda tracing your body type of modern dance move like in this https://youtu.be/4NZ4n-s-6xI?t=50
Yuna also does it https://youtu.be/GIU7Gsbkghg?t=49  and here https://youtu.be/ds6PDqUd7RM?t=163

Thanks, everyone, for all the links and posts.

Question for Mamamiia, hhh and Ic3Rabbit and anyone else who was at Sun Valley:
Did you see Nathan do a full run-through--with all jumps, spins, no choreography omitted?
By jumps I mean the usual triples (no 3a) that he would do for a show program, not necessarily the full complement of actual competition jumps.

Thanks in advance :)

Thanks a lot for frida80 and yyyskate's input.

Comparing with his jump layout at 2018 Worlds, I think Nathan will have 4 jump passes in the first half so he may move the 3A to the first half and have three jump combinations in the second half like what yyyskate suggested. 3A+4T will wait until he shows a streak of successful 3A.

Nathan seems a bit modest about showing his lean fast twitch muscles :)

:agree2::agree2::agree2:

I saw parts of his run-throughs and then the performances. Sorry, but I was too busy myself.
