Nathan Chen

My head aches just thinking about his crazy schedule. Maybe it's better for him to take a break from competitions next season.

His schedule is so insane - he’s fortunate to have had the experience of crazy schedules since childhood - but still! The determination and hard work he’s shown so far this season is so admirable and inspirational.

I don’t see him taking a break from competition for a whole season though. Beijing 2022 is his goal and I think he will be competing (if he’s able:pray:) until then.

I'm starting to think Nathan want the most crazy unreal schedule, and distraction to keep his mind free from thinking about the next olympic. because it a long 4 year away, This is Madness! and im bet Raf is stressing out, about this everyday.

What kind of show is that exactly? It lasts for 3 hours, 1-4 pm...not sure that I want to sit there and watch kids skating to holiday songs for 3 hours:palmf:.

It's not all kids from what I've seen of the pictures from last year. Just lots of local skaters.

And I voted again. I thought there wasn't going to be competition, but seems like the weight lifting fandom is out in full force. I'm not going to bother too much though.

I'm assuming the audience is usually comprised of family and friends of the performers. This is a rare instance of having a star guest performer.

Alina and Nathan are the highest earners in prize money for the 2017-2018 season from Forbes Russia

No surprise there since each won everything but one event (which they both coincidentally placed 5th) though I imagine they earned much more than this in prize money. I can’t read Russian so idk if the 61K is their total prize money or just for one event.

I think $61,000 was their prize money for Grand Prix competitions - 1st place at GPs is $18,000 and $25,000 for GPF.

Ahh, ok that makes sense. So it’s not including Nationals, Euros, 4CC, Olympics/Worlds earnings. Not bad then. Made over 100K with Worlds included. No idea how much he gets for Nationals. The prize money doesn’t seem a whole lot but I think it’s tax exempt right? So at least he gets to keep all of it if that’s the case.

Anyone here have access to the Olympic Channel? I’d really love to hear what Ashley Wagner said about Nathan at IdF.
