What on earth is she talking about?
She's the one who posted in her own journal that she was planning on competing till Vancouver. If she changed her mind, that's fine. But why does she have to add that line about people liking to confirm her datebook?

i think it has to with her injuries. She posted that after Marshals and the first few stops on the COI tour at which she did her jumps. Then she stopped doing jumps at the recent stops and had her legs wrapped. She probably reaggrevated it or something and is having second thoughts...

No, I have no interest in psycho-analyzing her. I just wish when she changed her mind, she wouldn't try to make it sound like people are confusing what she says, or worse, have an agenda of some sort to try and tell her what to do. This is not stuff that reporters are making up ... they are words straight from her own mouth.

I read the article in my newspaper this morning. Cute picture of them in the Public Gardens sitting on the Swan Boats. I could not believe that they were in my neighborhood. II usually lunch in the park when the weather is warm, as I work right down the street. I would have been tongue tied if I had run into Sasha and Johnny. I would have bought them the cupcakes they were looking for.

It mentions they are staying at the Four Seasons Hotel, pretty classy.

I am really confused here, Sasha specifically announced in her journal that she'll be staying till 2010; so why such a turn in just a few days' time! I agree with people who said she really needs to think it over carefully before making such a statement, claiming incorrect information being published by journalists is one thing, making announcement in her own website is a completely different thing unless if it was revealed that she did not write the journal herself and had no idea what was written there.

I thought Sasha said in her journal and supposedly the interview that was chacked, she plans to stay in until 2010. My guess is everyone is hounding her with "are you going to go to the Olympics in Vancouver???" just like everyone hounded Michelle pre-Turin since SLC. Sasha sounds defensive to me, while Michelle took it more in stride, never committing and never giving an answer, just the whole "one day at a time". So, maybe now Sasha is feeling backed into a corner w/everyone basically booking her hotel room and flight and she's like,"Hold on a minute!" Can't say I blame her! Four years is a long time, so who knows?

I'm not saying she can't changed her mind, what I meant was if she announced it on her website and saying 'she owes it to her fans ...' then it's a bit different from being quoted by journalists. If I am her fan, I'll be very confused because she announced it today with such affirmative, then back-pedalled just after a few days. Don't get me wrong, even though I'm not her fan, I don't dislike or hate her, I just find this confusing and I'm in no way condemning her.
