This is a BFD for US legacy media fans. The front page of the Sunday Times is as widespread as it gets.

We can see (no surprise) where the US media interest for skating will be. And I learned things, I did not know Max was best buddies with Spencer Howe.

I hope the pressure from all this (having lost his parents in the crash) combined with the whole media “You’re an Olympian! The weight of the United States is on you and therefore you must medal above all else!) doesn’t get to him. I do not mean this article, of course, but many puff pieces and stuff that are and will be out there.

He’s been through so much, and I just want him to have a good time and skate for himself. Just BEING at the Olympics is a triumph all by itself.
