Ice dancers Oleksandra Nazarova & Maksym Nikitin compete for Ukraine in ice dance. Nazarova was born 30 November 1996, while Nikitin was born 5 October 1994. Both skaters were born in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Nazarova's Ukrainian name is Oleksandra Yevhenivna Nazarova (Ukrainian: Олександра Євгенівна Назарова); Alexandra is a Russian name that has been used for her. Her partner is Maksym Nikitin (Ukrainian: Максим Нікітін). Maxim is the Russian version of his name.

They are four time Ukrainian senior ice dance champions, the winners of 2017 Winter Universiade, the 2015 World Junior bronze medalists, and were 2018 Winter Olympics competitors.

They currently train in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and are coached by Galina Churilova, Alexander Zhulin, and Petr Durnev. Their choreographer is Sergei Petukhov.

Nazarova's real Ukrainian name is Oleksandra Yevhenivna Nazarova (Ukrainian: Олександра Євгенівна Назарова); Alexandra is a Russian name. Also she is probably the most beautiful girl in ice dance! (and that's some achievement) Her partner is Maksym Nikitin (Ukrainian: Максим Нікітін). Maxim is the Russian version of his name.

In 2012 they finished 2nd at the Youth Olympic Games.

In 2013-2014 they made it to the Junior Grand Prix finale and finished 5th.

In 2014-2015 they won gold at Ukraine Senior Nationals, and they won a bronze medal at Junior Worlds.

They were also sent to Senior Europeans, where they finished 11th for their first participation, and to Senior Worlds, where they finished 17th.

They now live in Moscow and are coached by Alexander Zhulin.

What is so great about them is that they have innovative moves and routines. They are quirky and inventive and just lovely! I hope they win lots of medals!!!

Sorry, but the decision to send them to Worlds was unsportsmanlike... and, by the way, Sasha had a very serious knee injury and underwent surgery and resumed her trainings very recently... Our ukrainian fed's head office made that decision in hindsight, without any selection...

Honestly it doesn't seem that controversial to me as the other Ukrainian dance couple couldn't even make the free dance at Euros, and if they couldn't manage that there I highly doubt they would do better here with all those teams plus the Americans and Canadians. Nazarova and Nikitin provide a way better shot to do well.

Man look... first Sasha resumed her trainings very recently after serious injury and surgery. Nobody knows nothing about Sasha's shape and conditions - only words but no facts.

Second - that was very first highest-level senior competition for Valeria & Olexiy and on the Santa Claus cup in december they've got near 55 points for SD. They have not shown their real level at Europeans so they deserved to go to the Worlds or at least competitive selection between them and Sasha & Max.

And, by the way, there is no trust to our fed and its head office and president... no trust for a long time...

The TES minimum for Europeans/Worlds can be recieved on ANY ISU event, not only on GP/JGP/Europeans/Worlds. So Gaistruk - Olijnyk got their TES minimum on Santa Claus Cup...
