I'm leaving in the morning... how's the weather and temperature in the arena? I don't know which coats to pack!

It was raining today, so outside not so nice but it supposed to warm up starting tomorrow. Rink is comfortable (cool) in rows 10 and up but its cold near the ice, burrrrr

Better give us some mad HD pics then
[emoji38]
And repooorts and skater sightings! Please and thanks!

Any particular skater you want to see? Boy does the ice dancers photograph well!!! Its my first day using my DSLR camera and I don't think any dancer photograph bad. The Shibs, Stepanova/Bukin, and Sinitsina/Katsalapov are gorgeous. Gracie Gold doesn't take a bad photo either!!! I took over 1,500 photos today and still have the Canadians/Chinese to go! Photographing is FUN

The majority of the Russian skaters were on the flight that had a horrible delay last night. They reached the hotel well after midnight. I'm sure they are just trying to catch some sleep.

I hope they get enough rest for the competition then. Sorry if this has been already answered, but can someone tell me how bad this delay was?

I don't have the exact information, but I heard from volunteers at the hotel that the many of the Russian skaters landed ~11:30pm and some volunteers stayed beyond their scheduled shift because of that.

Peng/Zhang LP run thru, skipped most elements. Nice split twist and throw sal. I'm not a fan of their lifts.

Good for those Volunteers. I would have stayed up all night ( Hello Starbucks ) to make sure ALL the skaters were squared away. Can you imagine this happening to you. You're nervous enough traveling across the World and the last thing you need is a flight delay. Add that to getting to the Hotel and no one there to help you.......Horrible.

HMMMM
This is tough.... I guess Patrick Chan, Sui/Han or Wang/Wang?

I was going to ask for SinKats and the Shibs but you took some of them already so I'm excited for those too

Sui/Han Lp run thru skipped most elements, pair combo spin, throw sal were nice. Sui lost the entrance (edge) to their flying (?) camel spin.

Wang/Wang in the background doing 3t/2t after 3t/2t.
Peng/Zhang throw sals were on point then her landing became scratchy.

Wang/Wang LP run thru. Nice 3t/2t.
P/Z follow with nice ones as well, twice!

Well the Chinese pairs throw jumps are mostly on point.

ETA: Sui/Han 3t/2t also nice!
