On Site Reports @ Worlds 2016

Weather report: It most definitely warmed up. Walkable weather, windy. I'm burning up walking in my scarf/coat. Its cold, not sunny, but some people can get away with a sweatshirt.

ETA: the Dunkin Donuts downstairs is a hot mess. I had to explained what sweet tea was and they asked me liquid or regular sugar  Lets just say I ended up with unsweet tea and a bowl of sugar at the bottom on my cup my straw can't reach to stir :palmf:

The pairs practice in the main rink has been pretty sparse this morning. Only one pair from groups 3 and 5, and no Russian pairs. :( (I got up early for nothing!)

FYI, people have been getting autographs by leaning over the railing in section 20 in TD garden. That is close to the entrance and exit to get on the ice.

And no Canadians. I wanted pics of Megan. Friday I guess!!

The Russians are enroute.

See, now you feel my pain of being a native Tennessean living in Boston. The only way to get sweet tea is to make your own.

You need to get liquid sugar with your tea. It's basically sugar syrup.

I lived in both Boston and the South - the funniest was getting asked at Dunkin Donuts if I wanted "regulah" (coffee). Then they added liquid sugar and a bunch of milk.

Chinese pairs are looking sharp. Sui/Han looked great in their SP run through but are now having trouble with their throw salchow. Sui fell and hit the boards twice. Not used to the narrow NHL rink, perhaps.

Yeah, regular Dunks coffee is made with cream and sugar. It's 3 creams, 3 sugars at most locations. Some employees will ask if you're OK with cream and sugar, others just assume you already know what it is and don't bother. I think there's a misconception that regular means black coffee, but yeah, not the case here.

Fellow Tennessean HI (waves).

Noted. Never heard of liquid sugar and I was afraid to find out  Sweet tea down South is pre-made!

Peng was out there landing jump after jump. I hope she nails them in competition. Peng/Zhang throws are so beautiful!!!

Is liquid sugar like simple syrup? Anyway, I'm also part of the former residents of the South club (Lou-ah-vil, Kentucky to be precise; went to college in the other Bowling Green (not Ohio).)

On my way to Boston! Hanging out in the Alaska lounge while waiting for my flight!

Alexa took a nasty spill on her solo jump during the run thru. I can't stand her knee highs. Oh she just took another nasty spill (same jump).

Tarah/Danny looking good. His smile is the best!!!

Savchenko and partner solid side by side jumps but their throw

Alexa fell twice on the SBS 3S, and Chris fell twice on the 3T. Otherwise, twists and throws look good.

Savchenko /Massot had a somewhat sloppy FS run-through. Step out or two foot on both throws, and one aborted lift. Their twist looks awesome though.

Pretty much. Some places like Starbucks have several different flavors like hazelnut, chestnut, peppermint, etc.

Have a safe trip! :)

I'm not a dance expert at all.

So general impressions: boy Charlene/Marco have improved leaps and bounds. Barbara has been good for them. Lovely programs/expression. When I saw them for the first time at SA skating to Riverdance, I didn't like them at all but now, WOW!

Penny and Anna dresses are gorgeous!

Anna Cappellini's white dress is STUNNING! As was her black FD dress.

I know, right? This is Paris Fashion Week Couture moment on ice , everything is gorgeous: colour against her complexion/hair, cut, embellishment...
