On Site Reports @ Worlds 2016

I could have sworn I read on FSU that Pipper/Paul changed their SD. Guess not. And I keep wanting to call Pipper, Pepper!

Does anyone know when the draws for start order are? (I have something to be at during the first hour or so of the SD and I want to know if I'll be able to catch any of it.)

Weather report: It most definitely warmed up. Walkable weather, windy. I'm burning up walking in my scarf/coat. Its cold, not sunny, but some people can get away with a sweatshirt.

ETA: the Dunkin Donuts downstairs is a hot mess. I had to explained what sweet tea was and they asked me liquid or regular sugar  Lets just say I ended up with unsweet tea and a bowl of sugar at the bottom on my cup my straw can't reach to stir :palmf:

Never, I repeat, Never go to Dunkin Donuts. Don't they have Krispy Kreme in Boston?? ;)

Arrived at the arena. I can't believe seeing them skate in the flesh! Silly grin permanently on my face... Lol

Lol. No and that's the first thing I Googled search before coming to Boston. Next time I'll just get something less complicated

Your lucky it was not Lipton Tea from a can.

Rule one... if you are from the south don't expect much from ice tea in Boston. I avoid it!

It's Piper anyway, not Pipper. And that information about a new SD was not just on FSU. Piper wrote that herself on Twitter - https://twitter.com/PiperGilles/status/711291983847940096. I guess either they decided that they had too little time to prepare and train a completely new SD + that it would be too risky to make such a change right before Worlds, or she actually meant just some changes/improvements that they made to their current SD. Didn't you notice any changes?

Amen. People talk about the Mason-Dixon line, but it's the sweet tea that really tells you where the divide is.

:thank: Thank you for everyone for these reports! I'm living vicariously through y'all while getting ready for the social highlight of my year.

They changed the music. It's all Beatles now instead of only begining & the end. They added Norwegian Wood in the middle. You can check yourself on their ISU Bio. ( I put the info about it in their FanFest yesterday.) There may also be other changes too, but of course, I wouldn't know it.

Don't expect "sweet tea", meaning undrinkable brown stuff with gazillion teaspoons of sugar melted into it while still hot, outside of ten states in the South, and surely don't expect the rest of the country to know what you mean. You wouldn't get it in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, well, you get the idea. That's not their fault and thank God we (meaning the Northeast, I am in Penna. and not Boston) don't have it :laugh2:

And what's wrong with Dunkin Donuts coffee;) they were founded in Boston, so that's what you'll get.

End of rant/. Thanks to all for the onsite reports:clap:

I'm going to say one last thing about Dunkin Donuts. They get worse, the farther west you go. I know that sounds weird but it's true. When I visit Family in Ohio or Georgia, there are two places that always give you a decent breakfast. The Waffle House and Dunkin Donuts. However, neither of those things are true here in Cal. Waffles or Pancakes, you go to IHOP. Coffee, Starbucks, or if you can find one.....SBC baby!! And definitely Krispy Kreme or Winchell's when it comes to Donuts.
