On Site Reports @ Worlds 2016

It's Piper anyway, not Pipper. And that information about a new SD was not just on FSU. Piper wrote that herself on Twitter - https://twitter.com/PiperGilles/status/711291983847940096. I guess either they decided that they had too little time to prepare and train a completely new SD + that it would be too risky to make such a change right before Worlds, or she actually meant just some changes/improvements that they made to their current SD. Didn't you notice any changes?

I heard from FSU that they changed it parts of it but I'll only notice changes to SinKats programs, sorry. I just don't follow dance.

Don't expect "sweet tea", meaning undrinkable brown stuff with gazillion teaspoons of sugar melted into it while still hot, outside of ten states in the South, and surely don't expect the rest of the country to know what you mean. You wouldn't get it in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, well, you get the idea. That's not their fault and thank God we (meaning the Northeast, I am in Penna. and not Boston) don't have it :laugh2:

And what's wrong with Dunkin Donuts coffee;) they were founded in Boston, so that's what you'll get.

End of rant/. Thanks to all for the onsite reports:clap:

Umm, its on their menu. Why have it on the menu if you don't know what it is :scratch2:

I haven't seen SinKats do twizzles yet. Working on their patterns.

ETA: and they don't do them even once :(

Sweet tea is actually really awesome as long as it's not too sweet so you can actually taste the tea. I order mine half-cut wherever I go. Nothing is more refreshing in the heat, which we have a lot of in the south. I think it should spread to other states. And Dunkin Donuts coffee is the best IMO.

Re: Piper and Paul, I was under the impression their SD would be totally new based on what she tweeted, but it makes sense that they just tweaked it a bit. There was nothing wrong with it IMO, they just haven't been hitting their levels on it.

It sounds like Gracie is looking good. I never thought I'd be this excited for an event that I'm not going to. I guess it's because this is the first time in a while that I feel the US will actually win a medal or two. I don't care what color they are either. In fact, if they skate cleanly, I'll be thrilled beyond words. Well, except for Patrick......I want him on the Podium.

Former New England resident who is now
Living in Louisiana. I miss Dunkin Donuts coffee (I also LOVE their hash browns) and can't wait to try some in Boston this weekend.

Thanks everyone for the reports. Looking forward to when the Russians take the practice ice.

Gracie always look good in pratice. But competition is a beast she has yet to conquer.

:agree:

Everything I wanted to say but didn't because I didn't want to annoy people with my ubering. (Kinda don't care about Patrick, and I'm going, but all the rest.)

However, I'm still a little nervous because she seems to be very consistent in practice at most competitions...

Jackie Wong is doing an amazing job for those of us who couldn't make it to Boston.

Latest is that both Max and Adam are looking solid. And that Javi didn't make the morning practice -- no surprise there!

Maxim Kovtun was spotted in the practice rink and Tatiana Tarasova is in the main rink. I guess Team Russia has arrived?

Umm, its on their menu. Why have it on the menu if you don't know what it is :scratch2:

You have me there; good point. It's like hoagies or cheesesteaks on a menu outside of Philadelphia. Don't trust 'em:noshake:

Thx for the onsite (rinkside:biggrin:) reports!
