On Site Reports @ Worlds 2016

Maxim Kovtun was spotted in the practice rink and Tatiana Tarasova is in the main rink. I guess Team Russia has arrived?

A little late. I wonder if the Russians will pay the price; isn't there a huge time zone difference. poor pairs especially.

Jackie Wong is doing an amazing job for those of us who couldn't make it to Boston.

Latest is that both Max and Adam are looking solid. And that Javi didn't make the morning practice -- no surprise there!

Is Javi (I assume we mean Fernandez) not a morning person or did I miss something? is miki cheering him on - or are they even together.

Russian pairs are in US for some time already. They came early to train & accomodate properly.

"P & C went to the center of the rink and bowed to everyone to end their practice. We all applauded. #Worlds2016" tweet from isobel Moody

thank you for sharing those moment with us!

The Russian women are the only ones who are flying straight from Russia... Men and pairs have already adjusted during their time in New Jersey. The Dance duos are have also been training In NA. People who pay the price are usually the uninformed. :P

I am going to out myself as a coffee snob here, but I find Dunkin' Donuts' coffee to be pretty awful. It seems like most are heading there out of convenience so as not to miss any of the action, but I'll throw out a couple suggestions for anyone who might have 30 minutes or an hour to kill and might also have different tastes. On Canal St is Boston Common Coffee Company, which has a good and fairly extensive range of coffee drinks, plus pastries and other small food items. All their locations seem to be in areas of heavy tourist traffic and so they tend to be a bit overpriced, but still good. Tomorrow, the Boston Public Market will be open and is just a bit farther from TD Garden. There you can check out some actual local (re: based in New England but not multinational chains) favorites like Union Square Donuts and George Howell Coffee, plus tons of other great food kiosks. Closest of all is Equal Exchange Cafe, just on the other side of the R 93 tunnel, which also has some really good coffee.

Thank you all so much for sharing practice reports and rinkside observations! makes me even more excited for the event. Hope you all continue to have a great time, and may everyone quickly find beverages and snackies to your liking :)

Is every single skater/pair/dance couple in the booklet? Or just the top ones?

Only top skaters. Half the booklet are ads. Light on content. I didn't even buy it, CoyoteChris gave me his.

Denis Ten had clean run through . honestly if this man (Denis) podiums at wc this year, his brain and body should be investigated. for scientific purposes.:))

The results would be mandatory studies for all over-achiever wannabes.

Fernandez and Hanyu both aren't morning persons, For Yuzuru morning sometimes starts at 12 .00, he said so .Javi is the same.
Miki and Javi are together already 1 year or even more :)
