Mura was running outside the rink in the lobby for warm-up, Satoko did it too (I bet lots of fans have running into them). Japanese TV crew shoot Satoko (but from a long distance away from her). As usual, Japanese TV crew will show up when Japanese skaters were on ice. Mura seems healthy to me. Landed many jumps as well(but also all on some).
This little Japanese girl Miyu is kinda cute. She planned to skate her SP and made the opening pose already, then the announcer said the next skater will be skate her FS, please be prepared, then, she perhaps understand the FS word and assumed she was asked to skate FS, so she changed into her FS opening pose quickly, then the music started was still SP, she laughed with embarrassment and quickly run into her FS again

Really? So frentic, flaily and rushed; no moves were held. Nothing is from the core. I don't think Eteri really emphasizes good technique and musicality with her students.

Many fans like to "camp" the elevators in order to share a ride in them with their favourite skaters, in an "intimate" place they can't escape! I imagine that can get a bit tiring for the skaters... so remember to respect the skaters, and my advice is try not to bother them if they don't look like they're in the mood... (you don't wanna be on the wrong end of a Julia death-stare...! ;-D)

well said! There are places where skaters are fair game, like the USFS breakfast. Otherwise, treat them with respect and leave them alone in their home away from home..ones I dont know, I smile at but say nothing to unless spoken to. Common courtesy.

Probably because Milwaukee is part of the Rust Belt, the city was built for a much bigger population than what currently exists. Detroit is the same way, not a lot of foot traffic but tons of roads. It will probably pick up a bit as the weekend approaches.

Maybe so. Not a lot of street people/homeless and no begging yet. Not like Cleveland. People I have met are for the most part polite but not warm.

Lakernik is not on the tech panel of any event at SA this year from what I've seen. Kogan is however the technical controller for pairs skating.

I don't know, but they are EVERYWHERE at the Hilton so I'd guess they were mostly staying here.

Yay, Evgenia autograph obtained! I can stop my gloating for today now.

OMG so jealous! On a slightly more shallow note, how did she look in person? Sometimes she looks scary skinny in videos, especially recently because she has matured a lot, but no weight gain at all, sometimes I think she'll break. But I saw the videos of 3-3-3 so hopefully she will rock the house!
