I have this horrific pain radiating from the left side of my neck and my right foot hurts as well. It's difficult to walk at times. I am thinking of going to see my dr. in the next couple of days. Nothing seems to alleviate the pain - especially my neck. It's making work really difficult.

Any ideas what it could be?

Hi! Sorry to hear you're hurting. My right foot has been problematic ever since the plantar fasciitis was diagnosed eight years ago, so I really feel for you. (Where's the "shrieking in pain" smiley?)
You should have the foot looked at. It might be something that can be relieved with shoe inserts or other orthotics, but you'll never know until you go! I hope the wait for an appointment isn't too long!
Thinking good thoughts for you.

I am heading to the dr. tomorrow. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the good thoughts.

:)

I got plantar faciitis a number of years ago. No fun. Figured it would eventually go away but didn't. Instead, I got capulitis, tendonitis, already had gout & arthritis in them. Went back to podiatrist today and got more injections. I did get a permanent disability placard for my car. The injections do help but boy do they hurt when they stick you. :scowl::cry::ohwell:

I had plantar faciitis. I saw a podiatrist who wanted to shoot me with cortisone shots. I told him absolutely not! The shots do nothing for the plantar facitis(except get rid of the pain for a short time) and can only be done a few times. I found a podiatrist who specialized in athletes and was put on a rigorous stretching program (done 2 to 3 times a day) and I got custom orthodics that I had to wear all the time (no walking barefoot). It took many, many months but I finally was rid of the pain (which is terrible). Instead of masking the pain (as most doctors do with the shots), you need to take care of what is causing the pain.

My foot is better. I think I must have hurt it at work. My dr. says my neck pain is caused from repetitive motion. I am doing a lot of heavy lifting right now at work as the books are coming in fast and furious. He recommends massage. I told him "I need a desk job!" Getting too old to lift books.

They keep sending me to p t when mine gets too bad. I am supposed to keep doing my exercises but never get around to it. Would probably sleep better if I did. Can't expect much more as I have had 5 whiplashes!!!

Wow!!!! That is a lot of whiplash. I have to get in for some massage. It's only going to get worse. My back was bothering me today at work as well.

Whiplash: The first one was when I had a new car, 4 days old and this guy ran a stop sign right in front on me. That's the one that gave me fibromyalgia. When I hit the brakes, there were no tires left. The others were all when my husband was driving, pulling a trailer. Lost 3 trailers that way and the next to last one was the one I really loved. One of those was on my birthday!!!

Oh my, that is awful. I had whiplash from an accident about eight years ago. It's painful.
