Peacock admits mistakes....

In today's WSJ, Peacock admitted it made major mistakes in the last Olys, and plans to do much better this time around, to win back disappointed customers.

That's good news. I remember all the articles and general complaints about how poorly their app worked during the summer games. We were really hesitant to sign up even if losing $5 wasn't a big risk.

From reading the whole article, which was extensive, I think they got the point. They will loose their donkey on providing commercial free total Olympics live and on demand (Think the total TV world operating on a business model like that!) but they will gain subscribers who will see how nice it is for $10 a month (basically a hamburger) to watch TV live and on demand without 20 minutes of commercials every hour. Hopefully, this will send Tara and Johnny to the "Big Brother" house

Apparently admitting their mistakes doesn’t mean much. Their schedule for today shows figure skating practice starting at 3:00 MST (ie half an hour ago). There is no live stream that I can find. My iPhone app shows only team event coverage starting at 6:55 MST and is not live. They confirmed the 3:00 pm time to me on Twitter yesterday. And now they’re not responding to my follow up query. Completely incompetent.

But isn't the 6:55 MST time correct for the men's SP? I just spent some time checking the Peacock times for the team events against what GS has posted in the event threads and they seem to match.

It is because that's the same as 7:55 central which is what I'm not so casually waiting for. NBCOlympics has the correct times for whichever time zone you're in.

Yes. That time is correct. This is what they have wrong:

It lists practices on most days, including today, in such a way that coverage is implied.

ETA the unavailable in your region is some kind of glitch.

Not only incompetent , as in I cant read the icons they put up on the screen...as it the text is white on white, and not telling us there would be multiple streams...some with real scoring boxes and commentators... but the very much on purpose did NOT tell us up front they would be putting in commericals during the time the skaters were rejoining their teams and during the replays.....and that is fraud.

As I wrote in another thread, the way they have set up content is horrible for viewing after event. You can see commercial breaks timeline throughout the, let’s sY, 4 hour segment. But everytime you fast forward, an ads kick in at 2 minitrs plus. I watched an hour of ads before I gave up reviewing the segment to find particular skater. Unless I am missing a trick to bypass the ads?

Can anyone clarify smething for me? Can you watch a reply of say tonight's women's team SP tomorrow on peacock? I doubt I can be up all night to watch skating live. Thanks.

I fell asleep during the TE Day 1 competition and watched the entire event the next morning at about 6:00 a.m. so you should be able to see TE Day 2 Womens SP tomorrow morning on Peacock.

There doesn't seem to be any consistency with Peacock. I'm in Ohio and when I watch the Team Event Day 1 replay I don't see any ads. I've watched the replay, rewound, fast forwarded and not seen 1 ad. A friend in California posted she had commentary on the Team Event Day 1 and I did not have any commentary. It is so crazy that so many fans are using the same streaming service but having such different results.

Maybe adjust your monitor? It's easily legible on my screen.
Wow,,,,I am blown away. I am using a 42 inch Panasonic 4k flat screen and I have never touched the settings...the skating and everything else looks great....I suppose I could look into changing the settings....here is a zoom shot with my crappy phone of a frozen Peacock skate.

Last night, I went to rewatch peacock replays of day one and I was only offered one flavor?
