Plushenko will honour us with his presence in 2010!

he is really cute and funny with his fans and not like the ice zar they say
I read a very different fan report on some other board reg meeting Zhenya at that show. It created an impression of Zhenya as an arrogant jerk, full of himself, humourless and unfriendly. Gee I'm so glad & relieved it's not true! At all.
I m back from heaven, Evgeni said somewhere that he wants to try in Vancouver even if he doesnt medal
To me, the greatest thing about Olys in Vancouver is that it will put an end to all those comeback rumors we've been hearing for years from different skaters. As the result, all the attention who's who's been exploiting this theme, will have to find a different way of getting into the public eye ;)

I m curious to read that report especially for this show since i saw him taking pics with everyone and signing everything staying late, this is not the first time i see him and i never witnessed that behavior, at least to me and my friends he was very polite and warm. Maybe he is rude to rude people.
Plush doesnt need the extra attention of Vancouver in my opinion. Neither Michelle Kwan:)

I`m so glad that Plushenko`s done well in his exibitions! He has showed to all the top guys that if an old man can jump, heaving up his body and making 3 and even 3,5 rotations in the air-the achievement, which is worthy of entry in the Guinness Book- then they, young, strong, and extremely talented boys, just have to start jumping in earnest! I`m sure they will!

you know how to make compliment elana:laugh:, plushy is not that old man, he is 26+, he is younger than buttle and I dont remember anyone calling buttle old when he won worlds last year..By your age judging, Joumby and Contesti in their 25-, 26+ are not so young also for a skater but they are doing just fine..
Plushy was actually on Guiness book for a couple of times, thanx for reminding!

Dresden was good. :) We had a new group number to learn which makes three in the show as well as two programs each so it goes pretty fast! No mishaps here, but in Amsterdam - enroute from Tokyo - John lost his passport! Lol!

Plushenko landed 5 triple axels and a quad tonight! He is amazing! Absolute star quality! The last show went really well. :-) Sad that this tour is over as it has been great fun and it was a very friendly, supportive atmosphere among the cast. :-) Hopefully we'll do more like this! x

BIG QUESTION: Will he skate GPs, Russian Nats, Euros before the Olys?

As far as the GPs go - he wouldn't be on the SB list (or whatever list it is they use) to qualify for any GP events. The only chance he would have to skate in the GP would be if he is the invited skater for Cup of Russia.

I don't know what Russia's policy is for qualifying to Euros but i would assume that they'd want him at nationals or at least a test skate before he is named to the team. I would have thought going to Euros would be the tune up he would want in terms of competing against Joubert, Verner and Contesti to see how he fairs and doing a championship event for the first time in what will then be near enough 4 years.

Oh, sorry, I really thought he was much much older! He looks sooo worn-out!

Isnt it an exception rule about past best scores or last Olympic champions or something like that?
Anyway I would expect him (if he does come back) to skate at least in Russian Nationals (for qualifying, there is Voronov and Lutai in the corner) and Euros (for testing), and for one Grand Prix I dunno if he would skate even one... maybe he ll skate in COP(didnt they change this name?) by invitation , who knows what Plushy has in his mind.
I find it hard to see him come back in Olympic Games only, if he he wants to be serious contender. I dont think Mishin would find it good idea also.
Oh, sorry, I really thought he was much much older! He looks sooo worn-out, poor thing!
Funny, if you are fs fan you know more or less ages of skaters, how old he could have been in Torino to be much much older now, and if you had seen plushy live you would know people say he looks surprising younger than his age, but its ok, I dont want to ruin your fantasy :p

I understand it's really inhumane to hold somebody back from his/her dream and illusion of seeing what they want to see and believing what they want to believe. So, please freely......

but seniorita, I also don't believe "he looks surprising younger than his age". he is 26 years old. "surprising younger" may be 5 years younger. That's when he was 21, the time of SPB300. he was much more beautiful at that time than now:laugh:

(i am so happy for hendry getting his 9th 147)

Really?! I am surprised! They`re very kind, perhaps they don`t want to ruin his fantasies!

Welcome to the real world~~~

They should have said it before the person if they don't want to ruin his fantasies, just as we are doing now.
(btw: comrade plushenko, if you really have fantasies about your appearance and read this thread, please shave yourself before coming to public!!).

And, there is no more kind than seniorita to you. Actually i am wondering the reason for a very long time.......about seniorita's kindness and patience......

he just looks younger than youtube videos and photos, that ' all. I dont care if he looks 20 or 50 to be honest, as long as he can skate injuredfree and enjoys skating :)

Now I know why I like you and why I read your responses, that's the same way I think too. :agree: :agree:

Oops, sorry, didn't notice it first. I don't have the link, didn't keep it, since I wasn't looking for the show reports in the 1st place. Came across it by accident.

My own mens fave is practically an angel of a person and is very talented. Still, ppl sometimes criticize him / say weird things about him. I can live with that :)

I did not know Plusenko is 26, I think also he look less in real, in ice he looked dominating skater, from close he look like 22 or 23 boy, maybe this is Rusian secrets weapon!
At signing he was for me cool and polite, not very social like others but smiled and took fotografs and he was very gentlemen to girls epsecialy, I notise he was cute for children, many people before me said him `go back to competition` and ´good luck in next olympic Games` and he looked sentimental for that.
Aliona is very very nice person and very social and polite also. It was easier cause she spoke in german of course. Her partner is litle more shy.
