Well I watched it last night too and right at the crucial moment (which i won't reveal in case people haven't read the book) the alarm went off in the theatre and we had to evacuate (one of the hazards when stupid kids go the cinema, apparently is they set the fire alarms off for fun :disapp:) when we got back in adn they re-started the film it had skipped forward a few seconds so we literally saw nothing of the main bit of the film.

I agree with what you've said about the film Seniorita but at the same time I think that's how all the films have been - you have to look at them completely separately from the books otherwise you are always disappointed. I did enjoy it but found myself a little board by all the "love" interest in the film. I thought the storyline with Draco was really well done though.

But I will never go and watch a kids film at a normal evening-time showing again! I'll wait for the late night screening that doesn't allow kids in the theatre ;)

I was disappointed in the main scene you said, no climate, and also the horcrux scene...
You watched HP and not Plushy vids :unsure:?

As I have said to you before (but you don't seem to believe ;)) my work blocks youtube so i have to watch the videos at home but i haven't as yet had a chance to sit down and catch up with yuotube videos yet. It's funny but i send myself emails from my work to my home with youtube links of skaters that i'm alerted to during the day on GS!!!

Also the HP film is 3 hours long - when did I have time last night???:laugh:

I've seen the first five films, though mostly on tv. I actually feel that the problem with the first one was that there was no separation from the book - it was exactly the same, and I was bored. Obviously I don't want the story re-invented, but it's a different medium and requires adjustments; it's not some kind of sacred text. I was actually pleasantly surprised by HP5, the book was so dull I stopped reading the series but the movie was pretty good. And the kids have become much better actors than when the series started.

Tie-in to the Plushy thread: does anyone know if he likes Harry Potter? :biggrin:
 
I dont want interpretation of the book and I agree about book 5, but in 6 they sacrificed really amazing scenes of the book for the teeanger love and unnecessary details. I m curious what the movie was like back in Novembre! The three kids i would say they dont play well,a kind of carricatures, especially Hermione which is my fav character, but from the kids Draco was good. Anyway no complain, I enjoyed it, just this is my fav book of the 7 and I wanted more.And why we said plushy Voldemort? Voldemort has no nose,lol!

Well me I liked this draft (the sp one), still lots of work and he needs to polish it, but his effort to comeback is obvious and the results are great after 3 years retirement , plushy has a champion's heart, the video gave me a big smile and I m flying, metaphorically and literally,

....and why is she gone. She send me a PM saying she was leaving and would be back in the fall and I asked why...she hasn't responded back. So do you know why?? I promised her bubble gum if she stayed. How can you turn away from bubble gum???? I hope it had nothing to do with Ant.

As Ant wrote, she's on vacation and has limited internet access. She asked me to say hi to everyone for her and to keep this thread going. That's as close as I'm willing to get to Plushy fandom! :biggrin:
