Hey, that 'Tano combination was cool! I thought it was just something done in practice to improve the quality of Mao's toe jumps.

This costume makes Mao look more... womanly.

It sure was. The height was incredible and looked fully rotated to my non -expert eyes. I am looking forward to the start of the competition tomorrow.

Wow, thanks for the photos! I love her spirals but her spin doesn't look so comfortable in my eyes, maybe that's because she's not used to it yet. Now does anybody know where I can see her practice videos?

2 triple axels? tano combo with 3 axel? I think I will be surprised if she lands one clean. She might have done one clean all of last season and now fans want two, one in a hard combo? No need to do the impossible. She will win 3 axel or not!

I remember reading an article about ladies performing the triple axel in competition. The actual number of ladies who have done it successfully is very low; like 6 or 7.

...including the incredible Ludmila Nelidina , at 2002 Skate America. (I was right there in the front row when she did it.)

Asada's elements sheet on icenetwork's TEB page is empty. Maybe she hasn't decided the jump layout yet -- including the number of the 3A. In yesterday's official practice session, she fell on the opening 3A but nailed all the rest including a 3A combo.
