I love reading all the chatter, but I've got to get ready for trivia. At least trivia is tonight rather than during any of the senior events because I would have considered abandoning them for skating, and feeling a little bad about it since they're lost without me sometimes, lol.

Update: We came in third.


And to bring it back to skating, while watching Women's practices, Jackie has seen triple axel attempts from Amber Glenn, Alysa Liu, Alexa Gasparotto, and Alina Bonillo

I like the changes that Madi and Evan have made to their FD; they’ve added more flash and flourishes to the choreography in the last section, but I still find the middle section to be boring and I still don’t like his muted costume. Jean-Luc basically called their midline step sequence pedestrian. I’m flabbergasted he criticized them like that.

To be fair, he also called them the pinnacle of ice dance class. My take on his criticism of their one foot section was he felt they could improve speed/flow to solidify the visible quality of their skating vs other teams. I found this interesting and why I enjoy the practice cam commentary.

Thank you very much for these reports! This is very interesting. Looks like the music is garbled in women's practice videos, but in dance it is OK, and I have to say, this is such a weird dance. Apparently it's from last year, but I haven't seen it. This is Polovtsian dance music in Schecherazade-like costumes that in the context of the music make no sense and have zero authenticity. It's just such a weird feeling when I watched this.
