Hopes:

- That Max will skate two perfectly clean programs with the same joy and freedom that he skated with at 4CC. If it is the last, that he has no regrets; or for it to perhaps inspire him to continue. To see him smile...

- That Brendan skates clean, both short and long, and is happy with his skates; then we shall see what the judges shall do with him.

- That Katia and Harley get their revenge by skating such a perfect short program they DARE the judges to screw them out of the FS. And then this time, by golly, that FS will be clean!

I really want to see Max and H/B have wonderful skates.

I want H/D on the podium near the top if not on the top.

That's about it.

I hope that Uno can win, but i think Chen will prevail this time.

Anyway, without Hanyu, Medvedeva and Sui/Han, my most hoped results for these worlds concerning the italians, so Kostner, Cappellini/Lanotte and Marchei/Hotarek, on the podium. For the rest, whatever happens i only like to see good performances from all :cheer:

My greatest hope is for Wakaba and/or Gabby to medal (I don't think it's realistic to wish for both, sob).

Hoping Savchenko/Massot get gold (her sixth, his first), so that if they do decide to retire after this season, it will be on a high note. Though I don't know if anything can best their glorious free skate at the Olympics.

I’d like to see Satoko get a medal here. She was so close at the Olympics :2thumbs:

Hopes:
Boyang continues to "come out of nooooowhere" ( :rolleye: ) and wins gold giving 2 clean skates. He is so happy and smiles so much during the KnC and victory ceremony that the ice melts. Yuzu watches it happily from home, resting his ankle, buried in a mountain of potato chips, throwing an excited Spiderman pose at his TV.
Dima wins the bronze medal at his debut WC and joins the "potential next OGMs" together with Yuzu & Boyang

Wakaba gives 2 clean performances and gets huge standing ovations. She gets a medal and is happier then ever before. Japan gets 3 spots back.

Everyone stays healthy, skates well and leaves the competition being proud of themselves and their efforts.

And the most unrealistic of them all: judging makes sense.

My hope at this point is that the USA has three men competing who are healthy and trained and want to be there.
