Is it confirmed that Lambiel has injuries again? I really hope he is or gets healthy soon, he is such a beautiful skater. So, in that vein, my fantasy is that Lambiel is fine - just had a bad first outing, and he skates lights out in CoR and that Weir goes clean back to back again with another PB in the LP. Anything else would just be icing on the cake for me (I know, I don't ask for much!!!!:laugh:)

Men:
Johnny Weir (from what I've seen from CoC, chances are pretty high)
Stephane Lambiel (if he doesn't withdraw)
Jeff Buttle

Dance:
Oxana Domnina / Maxim Shabalin (if they don't bomb the FD)
Melissa Gregory / Denis Petukhov (if they don't WD due to their injuries at SC)
Pechalat / Bourzat

Men

Weir (and I predict we see the quad this time)
Buttle
Lambiel

Ladies
Fumie Suguri
Joanne Rochette
Yukari Nakano

Pairs
Zhang and Zhang but no guess for silver and bronze

Dance
Oxana Domnina / Maxim Shabalin
Melissa Gregory / Denis Petukhov ( for silver or bronze - not familiar enough with other teams to make third guess and depends on how recovered they are from SC and how much training they had since SC)

From my personal experiences with knee problems, I would say those problems never go away and Ibuprofin just doesn't do it. If Stephane is having a recurrence of the knee problem, it will show if he skates and the skate will make it worse.

I think this will be the battle of the Lyrical Men - Buttle and Weir. If one of them lands a quad, that one will win.

This makes me sad -- I am still holding at hope that he is actually ok and just had a really bad comp; but when I read this, I realize that I might just be in fantasy land.

If Lambiel cant even skate well enough to atleast beat Buttle right now then it is really time to quit competitive skating and stop humiliating himself.

Who said he couldn't? He hasn't even faced Buttle yet.

Yes but I notice 4 of the last 5 posters predicting Lambiel done in 3rd, even below Buttle which would be the ultimate lowpoint of embarassment for a skater like Stephane. If that is the best he is capable of now it is really time to quit competive skating for good. If his jumping is even worse then Buttles extremely shaky jumping (and to lose to Buttle his jumping will have to be even worse then Jeffs since he scores as high or higher on everything else) then his career has reached the point of hopelessness.
