In this case the two food centric guys look better than the very aware Rachael!
She had three escorts there as per protocol: her father, a hometown friend, and Patrick. I would pick the handsome World Silver Medalist too if I were Rachael.
eta: I think Patrick is just reading the menu rather than choosing his food. But what's with the cheap shakers there?

It's not my culture but my understanding is that traditionally it was a formal coming out event for young ladies in the South, usually at sweet sixteen, wherein they were introduced to potential beaus. These days it's often a charity event such as this one Rachael participated in.
I see it as a chance for young women and young men to dress up and learn formal manners.
I think this one decreed white dresses and the men in black and white. Otherwise I thought Patrick could have worn his very dashing new LP costume!
But then he wouldn't be able to take off that jacket with the attached vest!

Was he in his skates when you stood next to him?
He is listed as 5'7", a common skater height, definitely not one of the shortest ones. Shawn Swayer is the little one in Canada. In these pictures he was shot at a distance with a very tall man in the foreground or right behind him. He doesn't seem quite as short compared to most around him. And I bet Rachael had on heels at least 3 in. high!

Name of my link may be a mistake because I don't think the gentleman on Rachael's left is one of her escorts. He's supposed to be more Rachael's age. I'll try to find a pic of him and Rachael.

My SIL is from the Philippines and she says that she'd like to have a debut party for my nieces. They can cost as much as a wedding to put on - in fact, the girl has her closest friends - male and female - as attendants, an escort, flower girl and ring bearer, etc. Even dance lessons are involved. Personally, while it would be fun to attend, I'm not looking forward to hearing my mother comment that the money would be better spent on their college educations (which I also agree about.)

I think the young-looking dude is a young dude, and Rachael's dad is the mature dude at Rachael's far left.
Here he is at another event. (What's scary is that I found this picture by a Google image search for "Rachael Flatt's dad.")

And here an almost unrecognizable Rachael sits between two young dudes with food on their minds.
Here our young lady is with three dashing gentlemen of different generations (OK, one goofball and two gents). The one on her left I think is the same as the one on her right in the previous picture, who seems a lot younger but I noticed the identical hair.
So Mathman verified the gentleman on Rachael's far left is actually her dad, which was my initial assumption, until I figured out the same guy in 2 pictures and also started considering how young Rachael is. Her dad could be be around 40 or even a bit younger.
Here Rachael dances with her other escort, a homie.
Adam Rippon is nowhere to be found because he was nowhere near, being in Toronto or on his way home for Christmas, in clarks Summit, Penn.
Never thought I would be scrutinizing these pics!
