She looks lovely. I remember when so many figure skating fans were harping about how "fat" and out of shape Rachael was when she was competing, especially during "Tibia-gate". People can be pretty mean and harsh. I'm glad she learned to rise above it all and not pay attention to the negativity and the haters.

So ... if I am reading this tweet correctly, seems that Rachael will be part of the on-air team both for NBC and for Universal Sports for TEB?

I guess Rachael meant only Universal Sports. She is not part of NBC's on-air team for TEB.

I was wondering whether Tara and Johnny's roles in coverage of the dog show would affect their involvement in NBC's TEB coverage.
(My understanding is that the dog show takes place this weekend, and NBC's coverage then will air on Thanksgiving Day.)

Extrapolating from Rachael's tweet, I have a feeling that W/L will not take part in NBC's TEB coverage??

Maybe I speculated too soon. Johnny's website shows the dog show coverage as well as TEB coverage. Not physically impossible to do both, but it will be a busy weekend.

Sorry, I did speculate too soon. NBC's on-air team for TEB = Weir/Lipinski/Belbin. Plus Wilson on the ground in France. No Gannon this week. (Source: the NBC press release from Nov 11 at the link above)​

I know that Rachael has been involved in coaching at the World Arena during her summer breaks from Stanford -- via photos and/or video of her helping Max as well as at least one much younger skater.

But I had not seen Rachael officially listed as a coach in an IN bio -- until Angela's.

From Flatt's social media feed (Twitter, FB and IG) she continues to be very busy. She and her boyfriend, Eric Iwashita, a fellow classmate at Stanford, announced their engagement recently. She also participated in a call with Awakin.org on athlete mental health, is giving a skating workshop in North Carolina this coming weekend, was recently named to a subcommittee for the USOC board of directors on governance and nominations, and continues to pursue her PhD research at UNC/Chapel Hill.

Flatt also participated on a distinguished panel, "Mental Health Considerations for Athletics" for The US Council for Athletes Health earlier this week, including Candice Williams, PhD, LMHC, the Director of Mind, Health and Wellness for the Boston Celtics and Abigail Eiler, LMSW, MSW, QMHP where she is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
