I'm one of the wacky people who watch political news shows all the time -- mainly because they are funnier than most comedy shows - espcially those shows that I don't agree with like Bill O'Rielly & Sean Hanity. But since I began watching Rachel Maddow, I've become a more sophisticated viewer of tv news.. and that's the draw of her show I think - because she's smart and presents a truly smart show it makes her viewers raise their bar of personal thought processes.
In a country where "average" has recently been held up as better than "elite" I appreciate a show that proves that everything doesn't have to be dumbed down nor does it have to support the war on intellectualism that seems to taken over tv.
