REALIVE, April 11 and 12 - Yuzuru Hanyu's new show

Press reports are flowing. Tokyo Sport posted the newspaper cover:

Here's World Figure skating:

Photographer Yukata Nagabuko is looking forward to White:

Here are Daily Sports reports:

I love how Yuzu is able to silence the screaming audience with one simple gesture to make sure the sound of his skates is audible
And I love the new Megalovania costume. I think it is very probable that the rumours that it was changed to hide the MassDess costume beneath it to allow him to change costumes faster are true.
Yuzu admitted himself that he changed a couple of things in the the way the show was organized backstage including him not taking off his skates between programs and a faster change of costumes. So it would fit the story.
Anyway, here's the Megalovania intro Day 1 and Day 2.
And for those who did not see the show - Megalovania is the opening program and this is Yuzuru first entering the ice for the show!

That backlit entry and then the finger to the lips - causing utter silence - is just so cool.

Look what I have found here - Otonal 's legendary step sequence from 2019 and from 2026 played side by side!

Breathtaking as it was then, when we all fell in love with it and cherished it dearly till this day so much that Yuzu gave in and skated it as a part of REALIVE for all his stubborn Otonal-loving fans  :thank: , and still even more perfect and breathtaking today when skated with the freedom and confident mastery of the 31-year old GOAT no longer counting IJS points, just skating his heart out for the love of it!

In fact his skating proficiency and his mastery in all moves have so much increased that when he skates "old" programs like this, from a time when he was by far the best in competition, I get the impression that he has "ample time", his moves are "more finished"... I don't know how to say it in few words, and I wouldn't be able to say it in proper skating or dancing words, but it's... just incredible.
Just "for the good mouth" as we say:

That's very true.
Yuzu casually skating away at the close of REALIVE shows Day 1 and Day 2 - with a mike in his hand and no real choreo pre-planned - has been more graceful and mesmerizing than many competitive programs happen to be these days... it is just his presence and the way he moves on the ice that is truly unmatched.

The next (may) issue of S-Style, to be released on April 25th, is going to have a ten pages report on REALIVE, with exclusive photos by Kiyoshi Sakamoto:

When discussing REALIVE, and PREQUEL especially, many people seem to remember that Yuzu mentioned in a few interviews that he would love to do an artistic program that would be like 20 minutes long as early as 2023. I remember him pondering about it in one of the Memship Radios way before the maintenance period, I think even before Echoes.
Here are some of the fragments of interviews some people found on this.
