Meite is, IMO, but simply not getting credit for it. She could be training a 3A, but it's almost pointless as the judges will still hold her back on PCS, even though she has improved over the years. She has a certain style that fans love but the judges don't.
Meite was disappointing in person, TBH, and I have really enjoyed her programs when watching on TV prior. In person, she was skate from element to element and her speed slowed down quite a bit in her long program. Her SP was a bit better but there were long breaks for setting up the technical elements and this is what I believe the judges give her lower PCS for.
But in the long run, she could be the one to do it, because she has the strong technical base to build on. She would need to improve PCS, improve her 3F to add it in the SP, in addition to the 3A and 3Lz-3T, ect. I feel that a lady would need either 3A or 4T to break 80, and the axel doesn't seem to be everyone's strong point these days.
