I've been wearing Jackson Freestyles for a couple of years, but they've always felt too wide for me. I tried on the Riedell Strides today and they fit like a glove. However, the skate tech who fitted me recommended the Riedell Motions over Strides simply because they're a better boot. Looking at the price difference, though, I'm not sure I can afford the Motions.
Can I get away with learning single jumps in the Strides (and maybe upgrading in a couple of years)? The official webpage says singles are fine, but I've seen some mixed opinions online. For reference, I'm an adult woman in my 30s, 165 lbs. I'm currently working on three turns and backward crossovers (no waltz jump yet), and I skate a couple of times a week.
