The overall quality of this competition was pretty good. And such a close top 5 makes it even more exciting! But overall I am sooooo glad that Sofia Muravyeva came out on top! This short program is just fantastic and her skating skills and performance were outstanding. She's always been kind of overlooked and I think this was a great breakthrough for her.

She seemed little off after the fall. No wonder.

But overally this all can turn upside down in the free skate, the very low difference on the top can make the current leaders even more nervous and someone like Veronika can deliver a clean skate.
