Interesting, Kanysheva got bonuses on all 3 spins. Without bonuses, she would have had 65.20 and would have been second in the short behind Moroz (but first overall so far)
Is Kanysheva really such a wonderful spinner??
Also: she did 3Lz-3Lo in elements and URed the 3T on the end of her 3Lz...*indulgent smile*

Congrats to amazing Sofia and for new 229 points Younger Age record beating previous one by +30 points, but why am I under the impression all four top younger age girls except Dmitrieva jumped lower than usual?
Am I still influenced by Sasha's quads or 2000km travel to Tyumen took its toll? :scratch2:

And new free skate record by over 15 points. With a decent spin and 2A+2T+2Lo combo, Akatieva would score over 130 points in the junior category with a similar performance, with the same PCS. And the ex junior world record is only a couple of points off that.

Akatieva's jumps looked fine to me and air times were as usual. She's probably had ever so slightly lower jumps with this free program than the last one, likely because this program's much more demanding and exhausting otherwise. But take a look at her 2A in the free skate, I had it with similar air time to Trusova's. For some reason it's become truly massive with this new free skate, I never noticed this before and the 2As in her past free skate for instance usually had around 2, sometimes 3 frames less air time, which really is a huge amount. In the SP it was also big but I don't think it was as huge as in the FS. Maybe she's started seriously preparing for a triple axel? It's hard for me to explain her gaining so much 2A height all of a sudden otherwise.

I do think Samodelkina's jumps weren't as good as they have at times been, but on the other hand Berestovskaya's probably were at her usual level - She can't exactly rotate them if she jumps any lower than she normally does, anyway.

Sofia Muravyova earns my special award for making me cry with her performance. I don't even know how she performs like that at the age of 11. Amazing gestures, amazing musicality.

Akatieva and Kanysheva were quite dominating..
Kanysheva - yes. Hope we will see her at JGP Final next season. Very talented girl.

Akatieva - she is about the same level as Samodelkina. This season she is often below Samodelkina before FS, but wins total because of better FS.
In fact we see four very talented 10 years old girls - Akatieva, Samodelkina, Dmitrieva, Berestovskaya. And Loboda is promising too.

Maybe it's just me, but Samodelkina remind me of Sotnikova, in a good way.

Kanysheva's SP is wonderful.
