The main intrigue of the day - how big will be Nugumanova's gap from all the other

Nugumanova only received a 51.19 with a 26.11 TES. Mitrofanova is inconsistent but I think she'll beat that.

Ilya is impressive in his consistency, but I've never seen Artur before today. Wow! Just 11 years old, right? Amazing kid!

These aren't "Russian Qualifiers" but they are Russians looking to qualify that are skating internationally before the Zonal/Zhuk championships.

Sportland Trophy (entry list)

Maria Perederova
Natalia Ogoreltseva

Gardena Spring Trophy (entry list)
Stanislava Konstantinova

Perederova and Konstantinova will both be at the Zonal championships...

Alina Zagitova was listed to skate today but was taken off the list. I think she trains with Eteri's group now. Her PB is about 140 and I was interested to see if she'd improve on it. She is slated to skate at the Zhuk memorial.

Mitrofanova wins with 104.05 and a 53.65 TES. Nugumanova received a 97.38 and a 46.10 TES.

I'd like to see the protocols... Mitrofanova looked as good or better than I've ever seen her... I wonder if the tech panel went beyond judging her harshly to give Nugumanova a better chance.

Nugumanova was also struggling with her jumps at the "Kings on Ice" exhibition too... but just one month ago she posted a 178.45 at junior nationals.

Wow, Mitrofanova's technique is so similar to Proklova's!
And, how old are these girls? Will they compete in Juniors next years? If so, with these talents, Aoki, Higuchi and hopefully Proklova, the JGP is going to be super exciting!!

Mitrofanova landed four combinations in FS :hopelessness: But still won. Elizaveta didn't cope with her 3lo-3lo again. And her lutz... She needs a lot of work on it.

I agree but I do find her lutz technique much more pleasant than the others. She's not hunching her shoulders, there's not much arm swinging and there's more use for her hips when she jumps. So for me, it's a work in progress.

I'm not worrying about it that much since I think well...everyone goes through the up and downs in skating! She's still young and growing.
